Using Fireman air tank for PCP rifle air

I have a few 4500+ psi Fireman air tanks (Luxfer brand - for carrying on their backs) and a local Fire House source for keeping them filled. I am ignorant to what type adapter/gauge setup I need to make them work for my new FX Elite M3 (new pcp air gunner/old break-barrel air gunner), and where to obtain them. Also I have a concern as to how to keep moisture out of my system. I would appreciate any help you experienced pcp air gunners might give me.

Thanks,

Danny

I use the setup pictured in the following link.

I purchased my most recent tank from Allie express, IMS.

To prevent the introduction of moisture into my guns I use the system pictured below (connected to my compressor). If your compressed air source has the system that @RWSx3 described above, you should be good to go.

Good luck and welcome to the ADDICTION!

Al

I see where you've saved yourself a lot of money by acquiring a used fireman's tank. Good for you, more money to spend on air rifles😁.

If you are interested in saving a bit more, I may be able to assist you there. I have one on hand, currently not being used, the valve system depicted in the photos:

I see from your profile page you're in "GA". I'm right next door in Alabama. I promise to not hold the Nat'l Championship game against you.😂

PM me if interested in the valve.

Welcome to the Dark Side! Hold on to your hat AND wallet, poop got real fun real fast. I suggest calling Joe B's shop for your PCP connection needs.

I have purchased a lot of PCP equipment from him and it is all top shelf made in America stuff. He can get you the right hose and connectors for the tank to the rifle. Huge easy to read gauges and snappy connectors. I bought a backup set five years ago and I have never needed it. Really good vendor.

Look for an SCBA fill adapter for PCP. If you have a firehouse filling for you there's not much needed for moisture. Their compressor would have "breathing air" filtering systems for oil/moisture that would take care of that. You need a CGA347 adapter. You can find "hand tight" models on Ebay for around $60-70. That's really all you'd need if the firehouse is filling for you. (As an ex firefighter I'm speaking from experience). If you get your own compressor you'd need oil/water separator but not now.

Here's just one of the many shown on Ebay but this is all you'd need.

I have a bunch of Scott 45 Min and 30 Min tanks as well. They are all expired (a tad bit over 15 years old). I would love to sell them as a lot. I believe that the fitting that would work to get your tank converted over to PCP ready is this little guy right here...
