I think the USPS has gone way downhill since the pandemic hit - don't know why. They used to be rock solid in terms of reliability, but now they seem to lose stuff often. It has gotten so bad that their estimated shipping times are pretty much meaningless anymore. Even regular mail delivery is now poor - I've signed up for their "informed delivery" service, and it seems like every week or two something they show me a picture of as heading to my house never makes it, and I get "out for delivery" notices on packages and then watch the mail truck drive right past the house, I guess because the carrier simply does not feel like getting out at that time. On the mail that does not make it, I follow their process to report it on line, and sometimes they find it and it eventually shows up, but other times it never does . . .

I love USPS.I think they must know that because I have received over 2,400 packages from them with not one problem. Maybe it's because of where I live or because almost all of the workers are Filipinos.
PS, I do a lot of eBay, maybe the sellers have a USPS " subscription" that gives them better routes.

I just got a big FWB from a member in Hawaii He removed the stock so it would go in a shorter box, Probably overpacked but he wanted to make sure it was not damaged in shipment. It was not, it probably would have to be run over by the proverbial bulldozer to have been damaged. Anyway his first estimate from USPS was something like $110 shipping, then he had a friend who had a pirateship account and had him check and print a label. Shipping on that 20lb package ended up being $42. It looks to me if USPS is offering discounted shipping, they should really eliminate those special rates for outfits like pirate ship and probably amazon, Reduce shipping rates for everyone, and still get more business., no special bulk mailing rates for advertising fliers ect. Same for everyone.

I don't like ragging on any of the 3 delivery services but I will when they need it. Right now I'm a bit frustrated because I have 2 guns on the bench waiting for parts that should have already been here.
I realize shtuff happens but it's just annoying. At the end of the day, it's all on me for wanting what I want and wanting it NOW.

USPS, UPS and then Fedex in that order.

USPS has never disappointed me and offers flat rate shipping (which I use all the time)

UPS has been positive IME too. Minus a few points for not being as convenient as the PO

Fedex sucks. Their website and customer service sucks and I have it from reliable sources that their pay and compensation sucks as well...which is reflected in the quality of their services and emplyee attitudes.

...speaking of Fedex, they sent me delivery confirmation (w a door front pic) of an item that I didn't order. Meanwhile the compressor that I ordered for my son is supposedly in route. Good luck ever talking to a human @ Fedex should you ever need any assistance.

They are flawed from the top down. They need to make big changes. Unaccountable from the line level up.

My carrier will fill out the can’t deliver because no one is home and never try. I was home the last time and watched him.

Repeated calls at all times of day to my local office are never answered.
Fedex? If so I agree fully.

As carriers they seem the laziest.

I've had deliveries left outside my fence and even just laying out in the middle of my yard for every car driving down the street to see ...when it'd literally take no extra effort to set the box on the other side of the fence. And if they are going to leave boxes out in incliment weather they could at least put them in a bag, but that's a bit much to ask too.
