When do you guys use the valve adjustment vs. the hammer adjustment wheel to tune your velocity?

I normally tune just a tad above what I want for fps and use it to take a little off the top to get exactly what I want but it really depends on if tuning for slugs or high power

If your doing slugs or high power alot of people leave it wide open
