Very first groups from my RedWolf .22 HP at 100 and 130 yards.

What a sweet shooting rifle, and plenty quiet with the Odb moderator. The trigger is so good it’s almost like a mind meld, you just think the shot away lol. The first 100 yard groups are on the stainless disk.
The 130 yard groups are on the rusty steel sheet. I’m really happy with them and I’m betting that they will tighten up as I get familiar with the rifle.

The one group at 130 had three touching until I screwed it up. All shot using the .22 redesigns. I totally forgot that I have slugs because it was so much fun, so later on I’ll try them.

Thanks guys, yes they fixed it up good and I’m really enjoying it. What stands out to me is that trigger, it is just incredible. It reminds me of the ball bering trigger on my Steyr, only lighter! This rifle immediately felt really good on the bench and it preformed perfectly too. I was having such fun with pellets that I totally forgot that I have slugs too lol! Today I’ll try the slugs. It’s going to be windy here today but I’m still going to try it. If I didn’t have to stack bags to reach my far targets I would use the Daystate extended rail and a bipod. It’s attached using the bolt that connects the stock to the action so there’s no drilling or screws. I think as soon as I get the chance to shoot level and use a bipod and tail bag I’ll improve more. I can get the rifle very firm in the stacked bags, but then you have to scrunch down behind it and shoot uphill, you are continually adjusting the rifle and yourself and it’s hard to be consistent. So eventually I’ll get to a level range and use the rail and bipod with a tail bag…then watch out Centercut and Flintsack!! lol, totally kidding here, I’m still pretty helpless reading the wind. I tried hard for at least 20 shots to shoot a decent group in a stiff wind on the 130 steel and couldn’t pull it off, not even worth a picture lol. Holy cow I just wrote a book, sorry but I’m just in bliss with my blue RedWolf lol!

Today is really windy with hard gusts, usually I wouldn’t even shoot in wind like that. But I thought it would be a good test for pellets vs slugs. I was shooting the redesign pellets and the knock out slugs, they are the same weight.

It was just as I had heard, the slugs sliced the wind considerably better than the pellets. I was really amazed how well both pellets and slugs did in the wind. But I’m used to my .20 cal shooting a 13.73 pellet at 860 fps and it is all over the place in wind like today.

The RedWolf on medium power shooting the redesigned pellet is amazing in the wind. If I could read the wind I would do better, but I just haven’t had much luck with consistently reading the wind, I just don’t seem to be able to do it. All of these groups are me holding on the aim point and shooting through the wind with no attempt at reading the wind. Pellets are the first two pictures, large group and strung out group. Slugs are the smaller groups that are tighter. These groups were shot at 70 yards in heavy wind, I’m so impressed with the RedWolf, I wouldn’t even bother to try in wind like this with my .20 caliber lol.

Awesome shooting Steve! Isn’t it so satisfying to send the fifth shot and see it stay in the group? I’m so impressed with the RedWolf .22 HP that it makes me want a RedWolf in .177 so I could try this excellent platform in a caliber that has zero recoil. My .20 cal rapid has zero recoil and you can see the pellet hit the target, the crosshairs just stay right on the point of impact after the shot, I really like that.
