Benjamin Very Heavy Pellets in the PRod @ 20 Yards

Someone left some 28.5 grain Dae Sung pellets at the range the other day. I think they are for the Korean PCP rifle. I did not try it but I think they are too long for PRod magazine. I have a single shot tray. I shot 18.13 and 14.3 at the same time with the same point of aim. The 28.5 pellets are a wee bit tight loading in the PRod. I think they would be good rat killers..

Damn!! I wouldn’t have thought something that heavy would shoot accurately from a Prod. At those velocities I guess they won’t see the pellet coming in the dark. Good to know.

As heavy as they are and as long as they are, there is no way they could be stable beyond 30 yards or so.
More speed and a faster twist would be required.
Of course at 30 yards the speed will be below 400fps..

What was your range for those groups? It seems like there would be a lot more drop with the heavier pellets. Those JSB Jumbo’s look real good.

At those speeds and 20 yards you would just knock the squirrel out walk up and finish him off with .177 .
