Tuning Very loud Fx Maverick

Hi

My 25cal Maverick with 700 barrel is so insane loud and with a little burst of air in my face ever time iam pulling the trigger. Shooting king heavy 34grain with reg1 150 and reg2 125.

I have checked the o-rings in the valve and replaced them, the sound is coming from the block. I have adjustet the hammer all the down from max without any difference in the sound.

It shoots fine and everything but the loud noise from the gun makes that I cant shoot in my backyard beacuse the neghtbors.

Do you have any ideas? Are there any o-rings in the block?

Did you check the oring in the barrel and on the outside of the barrel inner one seals the probe and outer 2 I believe seal transfer port u would need to pull out the barrel to check them

Yes i have checked the orings in the barrel and seems fine. I have a 22cal barrel and I tried that one but it was no difference.

I guarantee the inside barrel O-ring is missing. I replaced one in my buddy's FX M3 just the other day. His was loud and when you shot it you could feel a puff of air on the side of your face. They are available on-line. I bought 2 packages of 3 ea.

Thanks, my orings seems fine, but I will changed them out and se if there will be better. Perhaps there is sametinget wrong with the transfer port

Might look at the probe make sure its not loose or out of adjustment?

The probe is screwed tight but it fells little loose sideways. I think the probe is where it should be, can only screw it in one way it seems.

Seems fine .... REPLACE THEM !

I would check the alignment of the barrel transfer port hole and the probe transfer port hole. If the 2 are not properly aligned when you take a shot, you may get a puff of air on the cheek and an abnormal sound from the action.

To check close the action mark where it is seated and where middle of the hole is so you can see where it is when action is closed then pull the barrel and probe and check using the marks on the probe and notch on the barrel as for adjustment I'm not sure on maverick

Thank you very mutch for all the help, the issue was the barrel inner oring, i put a little thicker oring and now my maveric is quiet
