1908 Light Pattern Improved Model D are not very common. This one is very rare because it doesn’t have the typical roll stamping saying “Improved Model D” etc.
Instead it was engraved with apparently promotional writing (Ovington Motor Company New York)and the Birmingham Small Arms, and patent information.
Below the Light Pattern is a very rare 1912 Juvenile Pattern. Only 34” long. I don’t think more than 1500 ever produced 1912-14. An incredibly well made youth rifle.
Edit: The top rifle has a “duck bill ” or “bayonet” cocking lever. 1906-10
The bottom rifle has a “side button ” cocking lever. 1911-16
