Taipan Veteran tactical stock (first edition)

So I recently purchased a taipan veteran tactical stock from talon tunes. I mounted it as much as I could to the rifle without the hardware that was supposed to be included, and set it up for myself. There is a lot of adjustment on these chassis buttstock. Height, cant, hook placement, and LOP are all very adjustable to fit different body styles, and scope mountings. I like to keep my scope low to the barrel on my guns, so I find myself having the gun rod high in my shoulder. With a buttpad that is adjustable, I’m able to compensate for this.

So far, I’d say it’s very comfortable for being made entirely of aluminum. It’s ugly, there’s no doubt about it, but it’s functional. I’m a function over form guy, so this is fine by me.

I also found out, that it will accept standard AR flat top grips, which is HUGE for me, bc I don’t care for the wood grips.

I’ll post pics when I have it all together, and set up properly. Just wanted to give anyone a heads up that is thinking about trying one out, they’re worth it!

I have thought about buying one. I would much rather have a plastic/phenolic stock though....ala FX Wildcat.
The tactical stock isn’t for someone who’s wants a soft touch, or plastic stock. It’s for guys like me that are horrible at shooting bullpups in wooded stock form, but add tactical furniture, and somehow, I’m better shooting them.

All of my shooting is off hand..standing. I do not shoot anything from a rest.
Same here. The rifle has to be comfortable and weighted properly for me in order to shoot it well off hand. My evols are very easy to shoot off hand. The vet never was. I’m hoping this chassis will help remedy that.
