Veyron 6-24x44 issues

Also asking in other forums as well......

Great scope but eye relief is very close. I had to move scope all the way back of my pic rail and use only one ring to hold the scope,

Is this OK? Any ideas for proper mount?

Gun only used for bench and its only tikka 22.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. I’m going with one piece adjustable cantilever. However,
Is there any harm of using that thick 3 screw ring such as the one I put on the picture. With the way it is mounted on the middle of scope it seems very stable. Also the front lens is not touching the barrel or rail, it’s low enough.
I have a feeling even if I get the cantilever it will not be enough.

Basically, is it ok to use scope with one ring?

I use West Hunter cantilever mounts on my 3 P35s. They work well and are inexpensive.

I would not use the scope with only one ring. I don't think it is enough support to be rigid enough or robust enough to withstand normal handling.

Is it possible you need a longer length of pull on the rifle? I'm 6'2" with long arms and I normally need to lengthen the length of pull with a spacer or new butt pad go get the gun to fit. When the length of pull is right, you should be able to lay the butt of the gun along your forearm with the butt pad right at your elbow with your finger on the trigger.
