Video Installing a JDS parallax wheel and the battle with YouTube

I made this video on installing a parallax scope wheel by JDS Custom Design for FT. When it uploaded, YT instantly decided it violated their community standards and restricted access to those under 18.😳😳.
What this meant was you had to sign in and state you were of age.
I had to file an appeal to get the restriction lifted. They did retract their decision and it's now available to the public. So, my future videos will open with unicorns, cute puppies and sprinkles running through rainbows. SMH..

Dave,

Completely understand you’re speaking from a HFT perspective. Shift gears and talk to me as a hunter/pester. Why wouldn’t I start at the opposite end of the wheel and begin my marking my 10 yard range and then move on from there to, in my theory, be able to have more space on the comma/nautilus wheel to mark distances well beyond 55 yards? Would this work?

Good question, I’m not sure.
What I’m doing with my hunting rig, and for that fact shooting XFT, I’ll be using a “round” wheel approximately 4” in diameter just so I can easily move the parallax turret and my ranging will be done with my Bushnell range finder.

Dave,

Good morning! Enjoyed your video. Wanted to ask what kind of pointer would work with this wheel because of the arc and where to get it? I'm assuming the pointer like the ones from say Rowan wouldn't work because of that.

Keith

JD offers a pointer assembly (also in a variety of colors) that mounts to your scope much like a scope mount. He offers a simple pointer as well as one with a bubble level. You do not want a level that attaches to the rail because not all scope rails are level, you want one that attaches to the scope.
