Videos or write-ups here on AGN?

Is there a preference when looking up info on guns that you're interested in? 

I'm not necessarily talking about the typical box opening, or introduction to a new gun type information, but rather in-depth details where somebody has (or is going to spend) spent months with a gun, figuring out all the intricacies and perhaps even competing with it. (Pellet preference, trigger adjustments, chronograph testing, actual trajectory vs ballistic program predictions, accuracy over a wide range of conditions, performance in competitions, etc). 

So, somebody gets a gun and spends a lot of time with it, would you rather hear about that in a series of short YouTube videos, read about it in forum posts as time progresses, or a combination?

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority, but I'd rather read a well written and photographed article and it's followup updates than a series of YouTube videos. However, if getting as many people as possible to see/read it, YouTube is a much bigger platform and your best bet. A combination of both would be my final vote.

Agree with mmahoney. For a brief overview a video is great. An in depth series of reports - I would prefer well written articles with documenting pictures. Overly long videos are quite tedious to watch.

Written reports are always great, and in some ways I prefer them myself.

However, if one of the goals of the air gunning community is to get more young people involved, then video and media platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc., may have a much broader reach and more significant impact. Just my thoughts.

Give me a well thought out written with nice crisp stills everytime. With the exception of Gregor Kamenšek., now that guy can calmly deliver some in depth airgun content with a video camera in his face.

Definitely written reports with still photos. Much quicker and easier to look back and review points in written format. Possible to study or enjoy the photos in depth.
