Vintage Crosman 211 target system

I have a vintage Crosman training target and pellet trap assy. I believe these were mfg in the 1950's or 60's.
They sold some to police departments as a low cost training device. A target is placed in the holder, facing sideways to the shooter, an instructor presses the button and the target rotates to face the shooter, when they release the button it returns to the home position.
The purpose was for quick fire shooting drills.
I added a timer, so that it operates without need of a second person to press a button.
Its in nib condition, so friends have said i shouldnt shoot it, as its a collectible. Ive carried this thing to a few airgun shows over the years and showed it operating, and was sure someone would snap it up, but there was no interest in it. So i'm thinking i will just set it up in my garage and use the thing as intended, i'm not a collector but do like shooting.
So what is the RFC crowd consensus, shoot the thing, or continue to save it for some collector to look at in its current unused form?

FWIW, if it were mine I would likely use it.

The notion of saving something to preserve its value runs counter to the purpose of having it. If youre going to own a thing, use it. Otherwise sell it to someone who will.

Ive got buddies that wont go riding because they dont want to put the miles on their bikes to preserve their value. I ask them if they are saving their wives for the next guy too...
