Vintage Pistols...

I recently managed to get the piercing caps on my 79G and MK1 resealed so they hold air now. Been shooting them a little lately both are pretty accurate guns and loads of fun. Just started looking for the complete cap assembly for my 78G as I got it without one.

I shortened then hacked a 2250 barrel up and put it on my Mark1. Leonard J made the shroud. The barrel did not turn out as nice as I had hoped but it still shoots fairly well.

2 of the finest co2 pistols ever produced. I own both in .22 and a s&w in .177. The only current co2 pistol that comes close in power is the 2240 but it doesn’t hold a candle to the mk1 or 78g in looks or iron sights. LOVE the iron sights on my mk1. Also with the mk1 there’s a well known airgun mechanic that modifies them(Timmy Mac @ MAC 1 airguns). If you haven’t already check out Vernon Austin grips for either one of those pistols. I picked up a set for both of mine in walnut and they really enhance the feel and look

I don't have anything vintage in the CO2 type. I still have my Benjamin H9, circa 1988ish, with original seals that holds air and shoots perfectly.

That is a super pistol buddy, I much prefer more compact pistols, just like how pistols should be.

I think you should consider a more compact red dot for it like mine here. It would fit perfect on that mid section rail you got on there.

It is huge for sure, but it's what I had laying around. What sight are you using? looks like you have a pic rail mounted too-The dovetails on this gun are kind of fussy and need a sharp edged ring to grab the groove, so finding a pic rail that will work might be a pain.

Bolero, Best to buy regular red dot suited to firearms use which are reviewed constantly. The small ones like i fitted can take a real hammering without losing zero. You do not need big tube versions. Most are 20mm dovetail which gives much better strength than the 11mm mount intended for airgun grooves and are much more readily available as the main players aim their product at full bore pistol shooters.

Just purchase a simple piece of 5 groove piccy rail and bolt it on where ever convenient. Most all piccy rail has 20mm dovetails intended mainly for this purpose. The solid fixing of 20mm dovetail is night and day compared to airgun 11mm, being much more substantial.

My zero has not shifted in 2000 rounds, under any conditions, short of smacking it with a hammer. I am convinced a lot of the shifting of airgun zero is owing to the puny little 11mm rails which seems to have been set in stone accepted. I think this came about originally because the radius of the typical airgun springer cylinder can only accomodate 11mm dovetail before the top of the cylinder contacts the base of mounts much bigger than 11mm, but no reason why a decent 20mm piccy cannot be mounted on top for a much more robust fixing.
