Make sure you grease the spring up really good...when I bought my gun it had a vortex pg2 kit and the spring broke but after installing the factory one back in I'm kind of content.

Also consider the amount of clearance between the spring ID and the spring guide. Extra play/ slopp in that area can cause vibration and excess wear on the spring. Springs don't like to be bent, the straighter they are when expanding and contracting the better the life expectancy. Spring ID do vary, even from the same mfgr so check that as well. Also how tight or loose the piston seal is, neither extreme is good. Oh... so many considerations to contend with to make a springer perform at its best.....
