Tuning Vulcan 2 fps

I chronied some nsa “pellets” for my .30 vulcan 2 over the weekend and they are shooting a little slower than I would hope for. Wondering if I should be looking into adjusting the regulator or replacing it. I don’t know much about tuning the Vulcan. 

60 grain nsa

• Min 760
• Avg 764

I left the chronograph at the ranch and forgot to write down the numbers for some 55 grain but I think they were only 20 FPS better. Thoughts?

How was the accuracy? 765fps for a 60gr slug from a box stock vulcan is pretty good. It took ALOT of work on my uragan to hit 950+ with 65.5gr nsa slugs. Try the 43.8gr, and the 49.5. The 43.8 did pretty awesome for me around 880-920fps range.

I agree try lighter projectiles first. See what accuracy you get get from the lighter ones and work from there. I went from 34 g to 29.5 and got excellent results. No use using that much air if you only have a smaller tube of air compared to bottled guns

I will try the lighter slugs as well and accuracy isn’t a problem even with 65 grain slugs. I do want to hunt with them and was hoping to get some more FPE without impacting accuracy. Maybe I am asking too much of this gun.
