Vulcan 25 Owners Question

I've noticed a change in my 25 Tactic as of 2 days ago. It might just be that the gun is getting broke-in even more and its entirely normal but I thought I would ask the veteran owners.
Here's what's changed... If I cock the bolt with the gun held level the bolt probe will pull its self forward toward the muzzle, requiring me to lock the bolt back so that I can insert the magazine. If I point the gun up gravity comes into play and the bolt stays back allowing me to insert the magazine. Up until now when I had cocked the bolt it would keep the probe back far enough that the magazine could be insert regardless of gun position. It's getting smoother all the time so I'm guessing it's just the way it's supposed to be.
Anyone else have similar gun actions?

I can relate to that. The same thing happened with my Vulcan. After putting about 2 tins through it, the bolt has become much smoother and reacts the same way you are describing. I think it's just the gun breaking in. While unrelated, I would suggest that you lock the bolt down while inserting the magazine. This will ensure that the mag gets inserted properly and will prevent the gun from jamming.

"TKA87"My Vulcan.25 took a few tins of pellets to break in, the bolt was a little stiff at first and now it cycles super smooth and 100yd groups have gotten really tight. Plus I added a really silent aftermarket shroud and it's super quiet.

K. Cool shroud on your Vulcan. I see a tin of the Mk2. Have you tried the MK1 or the standard 25 grains JSB. Any differences in terms of accuracy which you have observed ?

"TKA87"I haven't tried the JSB Heavy MKl,s yet but the only difference I've noticed with the MKll,s and the regular 25 grains is the POI is a little lower at farther distances because of the weight difference.
I have a similar experience with the POI. The 25 grains hit exactly .5 mil dots higher than the MK1. Haven't tried the MK2 yet. How many tins did it take for your Vulcan to start giving tighter groups? I've been through like 4 tins now.

"TKA87"It was tight right out of the box but the bolt and magazines started cycling a lot smoother after 2 tins of 350ct pellet tins.
A few of us Vulcan users seem to be having challenges getting the gun to group well. Not sure what's causing this problem. Shoots awesome at plinking targets out to 150 yards but can't get a descent group at 70.

i clean mine about once a week (300 pellets), and i've got about 900-1000 pellets thru it. Should be pretty much settled in by now. So i will re chrony it this weekend but it look like it shoots MKII 34 grain at 796 FPS / 48 FPE. Love it but its got me scratching my head with accuracy issues. 1/4 - 1/2 @ 50 yards, 1-2 inches at 75, and 2-4 @ 100 yards. Tried 6 different types of pellets but i can hit a shotgun shell @ 100 yards 5 out of 6 times.
