Yup. That is the one difference. The RTi has the ability to adjust the regulator without taking it apart. Kind of torn though that the Veteran is so well made, but it is also easily a lbs heavier as well. The RTI for easy adjustability. They are all solid guns.
Appreciate the info. It is an interesting dilemma. I probably would be adjust the reg to much, so maybe it is not such and issue. The way it see it is the RTI is the lightest with easy adjustability. The Taipan is probably the most well made out of the three, but also the heaviest. And the vulcan seems to be a well made tac driver with pretty decent measurements for what you get. Hard one to decide on. But it’s fun contemplating it all.Honestly don’t think you can go wrong. I have a vulcan 3 700mm in 30 cal and it is an awesome gun. I don’t have experience with any of the others though so I can’t comment. Just depends on what you are personally looking for? Is being easily adjustable that important? Is power of super importance? It is def a downside whith reference to the vulcan or taipan that you cannot externally adjust the reg if tinkering is important. Many however will just leave settings if good from the factory. I will say the vulcan is quite versatile in how it can be set up. The reg can be moved to create a larger or smaller plenum so they are able to produce a bunch of power if that is important. I think it just boils down to personal pref as any of them are great guns. Do you need to do a lot of adjusting and tuning? Will you be shooting many different projectiles? These choices will point you in the right direction. I personally have been eyeing a 500mm vulcan 3 in 25. Just for simplicity as it would be a gun I would shoot 25.39 and hades pellets out of. Wouldn’t need to touch the factory tune (I assume). Just take it out and shoot it.
Great. Appreciate that. One question if you don’t mind. On the taipan vet 2, I’m trying to figure out if the barrel is threaded for moderator upgrades.I owned all 3, kinda. V3 500mm .22, Veterans in all shapes and sizes for Gen1s and the Compact Prophet gen1. Personally I'd probably go with the Prophet. I really enjoyed that gun but the Veterans are really really nice. Wouldn't hesitate on those. The V3 while a nice gun, wasn't my favorite. I preferred the Uragan.
No not at this point. the stock mod is it for now. You may be able to swap it for a bigger version that is on the tactical model. There is also the possibility of donnyfl making an adapter for the flange.Great. Appreciate that. One question if you don’t mind. On the taipan vet 2, I’m trying to figure out if the barrel is threaded for moderator upgrades.
Oh, and what has you favoring the prophet slightly more?
Appreciate it!
