Airgun Technologies Vulcan 3hp .30 cal?

Newer Vulcans come with CZ .300 barrels, not the Alpha Precision (.3063) barrels that were originally on them in early production units.
I have a the non HP .30 and it likes ammo on the heavy end of the spectrum for .30 in the 60-68 grain range. Right now I am getting the best accuracy from Patriot Javelin .301 64 grain.
Oddly enough it also shoots the 44.5 FX hybrids well. I think it has something to do with their shape and that they are long enough to stabilize.

What kind of accuracy are you getting?

With the Patriot Javelin .301 64 grain, I get MOA accuracy or better (.5 50 yd 1.0 100 yd) assuming I do my part and the weather conditions are perfect...
I currently have an Arken Zulus LRF on the gun, and while I really like the scope, It isn't a precision target scope out at 100+, so currently I will get 1.5 inch groups at 100...
The Zan 68 grain are probably second place at around .6-.7 at 50 yds / 1.5 100 yds.
Impulse Air 44.5 (FX Hybrids) give me .75 at 50yds and also around 1.5 at 100 yds.

Honestly while using a digital scope at 100yds that sounds pretty effing great to me.

thank you, i was just looking at slugs, that would make sense, based on my experiences and what is available to me.
the JAVELIN 64grain, were top of my list, based on what my results were with other projectiles.
for the zan 68grain slugs i need to modify my mags, as i unfortunately got two of the old ones with my V3HP from krale.

I know the feeling. I ordered my gun back in July from Krale and got the old magazines also. My buddy was able to 3D print a back plate to shoot the longer slugs. I think I may just purchase one or two of the newer mags though...

Interesting on the barrel. I was just told the other day by a vendor that the 3063 are the slugs for the Vulcan HP. If it actually has - newer barrel that doesn’t need the the 3063 that’s great news as I took the Vulcan off my list for that reason. Don’t want to be dorced into one ammo

This particular vendor said they had the newest version of rifle etc and still needed 3063. So this is interesting.

as a fellow VULCAN 3 .30 HP from krale owner, can i ask you, if you have made similar experiences when adding a moderator to it than i have been reporting here? https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...added-huma-mod40-4-0-severe-clipping.1319941/

can you share the 3d print files for the magazine back plate? not that i have acces to a 3d printer or any experiences with them, but maybe i can ask a friend, too. or are they not good? or why would you want to buy new mags?

In believe the 3063 is from guys slugging the barrel. I was under impression it’s the CZ barrel that is this size. But would be great to get some better confirmation.

I want to get a Vulcan HP on black Friday but I won’t if only fires the AVS 3063 slugs accurately
Thats definitely what I would like to know, measuring grooves are tricky. Seems .3063 slugs in a .3063 barrel would be a no go even lubed to all crap & back. I must be missing something.

I do have a moderator for my V3, but I rarely use it as I think the gun does fairly well on its own and I don't like all the extra length and weight.
My moderator was made (3D printed) by a friend of mine who is also a member here on AGN. I have not had any clipping issues with it. I think he printed the bore diameter at .35. He also printed my mag plate... He sells his products here on AGN. I can give you his user name if you are interested.
I can send you the file for printing the plate. Just check your messages.
The plate works fine. I had to trim and sand mine for it to work like it should. The only reason I would get new mags is because the newer mags hold an additional round and are deeper, so you don't have to worry about the longer slugs not rotating in the mag, and they look better than having 3d printed parts...
