N/A Walther LG300 Dominator - Lost appeal

About 5 years ago I bought a Walther LG300 Dominator. I also have the Walther LG400 match rifle, so I am a Walther fan. I always wanted a high power version for silhouette matches. The LG300 was in great shape, but the regulator was wonky. So that took me a while to figure out. At that time I could not get a factory regulator from Walther, so I sent it to Korrick for a new custom one, and some tuning.
That repair trip took a long time to get completed, and then the rifle trigger got smashed by USPS. So that took additional time and angst to get insurance resolved. Thankfully Walther was able to do the repair, checked everything out, and somehow even offered to get me a free factory regulator from Germany. So really Korrick, and Walther were very helpful, and I give them both a lot of credit, but it took so long to get working. I began to regret the purchase, like it was a big tease.
The whole snafu took 9 months to get it up to snuff. I tested it, and it was great. Then the cherry on top, my club cancelled the air silhouette matches, so that also added to the curse. Funny, but I don't want to enjoy it, because of the past "drama".
I am blessed to have other nice rifles, so the Dominator gets shunned. I don't want to sell it because of my "investment", and I don't want to use it because extended repair was like a bad lingering fart. Funny how the rifle has a stigma and yet an attraction to me.

That’s a bummer that your range cancelled their air rifle silhouette. It seems like silhouette in general and especially air rifle silhouette is not very popular anymore. Where I live I’d have to drive about three hours to attend a match. So instead I just shoot silhouette targets by myself in the back yard. I can only get out to 30 yards however. I did just purchase a Walther LG400. It’s great so far and even at 7.5 joules it’s perfect for my backyard range and for ten meter shooting.

It is not a big deal, but I flipped my loading lever so it opens on down stroke. Loads on pull up. I like that process, and the red loaded indicator on the bolt. Crazy that it gets 400 shots to a fill. Insane great rifle.

I did the same with my lever. When I mounted a scope I had to because the lever made contact with the windage turret. I also like the loaded indicator; it's a nice safety feature.

That's a darn shame you had so much trouble. I've had similar experiences and had to just let it go and move on. You're so right, it leaves a lingering fart you can't get away from until you sell it, (at least for me).
Those are beautiful guns.
Funny thing one of the first "expensive" airguns I ever had was an LG300 built by AZ and it shot like a laser at 12 fpe. It was a dream, but then the higher power guns caught my fancy.

This is my small herd of match rifles. I really don't think one is better than another.
Shot count is over 400 on the LG400, and I think 300 shots on the 9003S2. I don't think I have a cylinder through the Dominator. The Dominator has a good crack when you shoot it, and the other 2 are pretty quiet for in the house. I have a man cave room that opens into the garage, and that is where I shoot 99% of the time. My cool labrador doesn't like the crack, but she hangs on the man cave couch for the puffs.
