Walther Reign problem :(

Hello all!
So I got a used .22 Walther Reign UTX.
it had a blown “pellet probe O-ring”
For some reason it’s extremely hard to find them online.
I measured it the best I could and got some on Amazon and none of them work.
So I found the OEM part number (465.22.01.2)
And I think the size is 3.5mm X 5.9mm and 1.2mm width.
So I got that exact size from McMaster and it blew out right away.
😡
So I called and ordered the OEM one right from Umarex and it blew out on the second shot.
So obviously something else is wrong.
I searched pretty hard and cant find the solution.
The pellet probe is pretty loose and doesn’t seem like it’s lined up real great, but I’m thinking maybe it’s supposed to be loose so it can find it’s own center?
I give up.
I’m really hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My Reign just happened to be sitting right close. Playing with "mufflers"

On one hand, the probe, "can" be moved around with light finger pressure, BUT, it's "not" sloppy loose in the receiver, only manual pressure will move it.
As you forward the probe into the breach, the probe is well aligned with the breach, and does not "visually" move to align itself as it goes into the breach.

Are you sure that the o-ring is being fully inserted into the barrel ? There should be nothing of the o-ring visible with the cocking lever fully in battery, (ready to fire, magazine removed).

Have you checked to see if there is any old pellet debris (as torn off of a skirt) in the breach that might be tearing the o-ring. You may have to remove the barrel to verify this.

Good luck.

Mike

Well my probe does visibly move when entering the barrel. Quite a bit actually.
I guess I’ll tear it down and see what it looks like.
If I leave the magazine out and load a single pellet it works fine. I shot like 15 in a row, no problem.
The O-ring is definitely not visible when the leaver is front. It’s fully in the breach.
I did visually inspect the breach and it looks ok.
I even cleaned up my magazines with a small file. I removed the plastic flashing that shouldn’t be there thinking it may have been catching the oring.
I’m guessing maybe whatever holds the probe needs tightened.
Hopefully it’s that’s simple.
Thank you for the tips! I’m fairly new to PCP world. I always had springers, needless to say I’ll never buy another nonPCP gun.
lol

Crap I just seen this.
Sorry!!
Here’s a pic…
I also have a parts breakdown. PDF.
I can email it to ya if ya want.
