Comes with a permanently affixed moderator and no shroud.

Can you disassemble the moderator?

Not easily or without...destruction.. At least with the US version. It's held onto the barrel by both an interference (friction fit) fit AND a round, internal snap ring. I managed to save most of the snap ring in my failed, separation task.

I cut the barrel off just behind the silencer. I worked to remove the barrel from the silencer body, so I could reinstall it on a much shorter barrel. After two days of slowly cutting away at the barrel by hand with rotary files, I found that I wasn't happy with the outcome, and just ended up buying a silencer adapter, cut the barrel further and installed a Donny Tatsu silencer. It's right up against the front of the stock, as short as possible without cutting the stock.

I did finally get to where I wanted to be, a "short" gun. But trying to remove the silencer from the barrel is not an easy task.

A special holder to hold the silencer tightly, and going in with a milling cutter on a mill would be the way to save the factory silencer if that's what you want.

As far as just taking the silencer apart, again, nope, at least and not and being able to put it back together..! The outer plastic sleeve will rotate around the aluminum body. You may take the plastic sleeve off and find a way to remove the end caps...but...

And yeah, after all that, it still shoots as well as it did before all of my hacking (cleaned up the end of the barrel and recrowned). And the sound, the Tatsu, is "slightly" quieter and has a different sound than the factory silencer did.

Good luck.

Mike

P.s. - And yeah, as noted, the US version does not come with a barrel shroud.

Sorry, no pictures. I can try to find a decent background for a shot or two.

Don't let the non-regulated Reign bother you. Ask ol Odoyle how many of his guns are...non-regulated..! I know that his semi-expensive Renegades are not regulated. Don't let him fool you. The gun works just fine.

Correct, no speedometer. Don't really care. Not shooting long distances, not shooting animals, only paper. Doesn't take much to get through paper. The general sound will tell you of any possible problems.

AND...yeah again. Been messing with cars most of my life. Ran a 9.90. Progas Angila for about ten years. My timing light hardly ever made it out of my tool box..! The car was very consistent...WITHOUT a tachometer too I could run within a hundredth all day, on any given weekend.

I love mine. I have more expensive, regulated, and higher quality guns, but the Reign is a fun, lightweight and accurate hunter or back yard plinker. It’s rugged enough to take through thick underbrush without fear of scratching or dinging, and between 130-200 bar I get about 40 shots that are fairly consistent, although I haven’t bothered checking the spread. I find myself shooting it more than any of my other PCPs, although I shoot my springers more than anything.
It’s ugly, and the stock is hollow plastic, but I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.
