I have been a "springer" person since the late 70's, early 80''s - long before they were fashionable in this country. Had a Webley Hurricane pistol and still have my FWB 124D from 1981. Problem is, I can no longer use them. Too heavy and too much effort. Now use Crossman 2240 and 2300t with shoulder stocks but performance, though good, is not quite what I want. Toyed with mods to the Crossmans, but really thinking of breaking into the PCP market. Criteria has to include lightweight, stability, accuracy, quiet, power and most of all, capability to operate effectively using one hand (with shoulder stock). I know this may be asking a lot, any suggestion?
Want suggestions for lightweight performance PCP operable using one hand.

If you're using a 2240 then the Marauder pistol is not too different weight and length wise. Mine was a little loud without a moderator and accuracy with the factory barrel was ok, but not great. There are lots of mods available including hammer forged barrels so if you're not happy with out of the box performance you can mod for better accuracy, shot count, etc.
I got one for my son who uses a wheelchair to get around and he loved it. We sold it to raise money for school but I kind of miss it.

crosman 1701p is very close to the 22xx in size & weight, many shots per fill and one of the most accurate pistols under $500.00.

Marauder pistol and shoulder stock gets my vote, I like mine being its light and I can shoot it with one hand and shouldered with a Bug Buster scope and it’s pretty steady, well as steady as one hand can hold it.
This thread interested me so I just took mine outside and shot it a few times one handed, to load it I put the barrel on top of my foot and put the stock in my gut and was able to cock it only using one hand, probably not the safest way to load it but it worked and I’m sure you could also put the barrel against a tree or building and load it also, I’m sure it can be done other ways if a person does have the ability to use two hands but just can’t hold with two..This was just a quick test I did just to see what the challenge would be so take it for what it’s worth but the Marauder Pistol did just fine for me.

Air Arms TDR. Lightweight, accuracy, power and the side lever is super easy to use and much easier than a bolt to manipulate.

Crosman 1701p with 1399 stock. Want a little more ump? Drop in a 1720 transfer port (.067) , a few adjustments and push jsb 8.4 @ 675 for 30 good shots. From a steady rest on a calm day mine will print a nice cloverleaf @ 35 yds. A 3-9 bugbuster goes well. Your mileage may vary.

I've looked at the Marauder (online) and it seems like a viable solution. The performance seems great and I have no real problem with the gun cost. It''s the accessory cost that I find a little daunting but the same could be said for any PCP. The hand pump is not a viable option for me and that's part of my concern. I'm strong of arm but it would flat wear me out. After looking at the 1701p it may also be a viable option. The on board tank looks small enough to charge easily but I think my 2300t and 2250 may outperform as to velocity and come close in accuracy. I have to load, cock and shoot right handed. I looked up the TDR and wow. It seems to be at the top of the heap and available in multiple cals. Maybe a little on the steep side for me though and reviews seem to indicate really loud. It seems to me that once charged, all PCP''s, especially with a mag, are heads and shoulders above my two single shot Crossmans. Maybe I need to find a retailer where I can actually handle and test test them. I will research retailers for location and accessibility. Another option is to do some customization and mod work on my two Crossmans. I read some articles indication substance all performance gains. Thanks for the info.

i'm embarassed. I totally missed the enhanced performance of the 1701P after what seems like a simple mod. It would seem to me that the smaller air capacity might even make it more viable for a hand pump over a marauder. I will have to do some serious thinking and research. The price is comparative to the Marauder. If I can handle the Marauder it may be a better buy (faster and heavier caliber) but harder to handle and fill with one hand. I feel the need to heft both and try both - not sure how. I really like my 2250 and 2300t but for both I yearn for a little more velocity and reach.

I think you need to look at the little Brocock Contour S6. .22 or .177. Still a few floating around at some dealers. Beauty of a gun, so lite and fast handling, plenty of power and very very accurate. Getting 3/8" groups with .22 Jsb 18.1 and about 24 shot per fill. 6 shot magazine 30mm air tank, at 200 bar. Look it up on the internet. If you need more firsthand info just ask. Nick. I think mine is about 6 lbs with scope.

Well I would say an fx wildcat especially in .22 very short, mags easily loaded with one hand very light to shoulder. Without knowing how one handed actually limits things its easily held up with a forearm or bicep for cocking and mag change. And looks like you could setup a bipod and monopod to the stock for table/bench/ground shooting.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I've got enough info now to do some homework and perhaps find a dealer where I may be able to heft and handle. I probably should been plainer in discussing my limitations - I only have one arm, so weight and handiness (no pun intended) are issues for me. This limitation also affects my ability to effectively pump. So, although fairly physical, i'm afraid that hand pumping may not be in the cards while the other options for charging a pcp seem, at least initially, quite expensive. Like I said at the beginning, homework and hopefully some handling trials. Thanks to all,
