We are getting ready to implement a new Resources section. If you have created (or maybe bookmarked) a thread that you think would be a good addition to this section please DM me a link. Useful 3rd party resources are also welcome (ie: Youtube tutorials, websites, blogs, even other forums).

Resources could include anything from:
  • Zeroing, shimming, testing, mounting a scope
  • How to use MOA/MIL/holdovers on a scope
  • Reading the wind
  • Ballistic calculators
  • Cleaning a barrel
  • General maintenance
  • Spring gun maintenance
  • Spring gun tuning
  • PCP maintenance
  • PCP tuning
  • Filling a PCP
  • Maintaining an HPA compressor or hand pump
  • Storage
  • Field Target techniques
  • BR techniques
  • PRS techniques
  • General shooting techniques

Or anything else you think might be useful to new or seasoned airgunners.

Thanks

-Michael

I don’t have the resource for this, but how about including some links to up-to-date info on legal matters regarding airgun ownership, sale/transfer, hunting, technical definitions—state by state?

Someone just posted a thread asking about a potentially questionable private sale, which was safely resolved via the poster’s own research and good communication between the parties. However, this kind of question will surely come up again. A link or two from this site could address concerns without someone needing to create a thread about legalities. Take the high road and show the way.

The American Airguns Trajectory Calculator
I find it useful in calculating distance changes, however an average Ballistic Coefficient, table for the current projectile offerings is needed to fill that chart for the calculation.

Michael, Since joining AGN I have made a habit of reaching out to other Georgia members. This has usually been the result of their content mentioning GA.; so it is rather hit or miss. Everyone I have had the pleasure of communicating with hopes that one day we might be able to form regional organizations for the purpose of gathering together to enjoy, support and further our interest in airguns. The member map is helpful but a passive rather than active resource. Hopefully, a new section for this purpose will foster an opportunity for more face to face activity in all areas. A specific tool for this process might be members who volunteer to serve as a Contact or Ambassador for their area.
Thanks again for the opportunity to make a suggestion,
Martin in GA.
