I guess that were we have different schools of thought. Part of the "Design Spec" indicates that certain things must be "marked" on the label of the cylinder. If the cylinder doesn't have these "markings" then how can it me made in compliance with them?"Dairyboy"This is his quote on the topic
"I have already had an email about them not complying with the DOT and TC markings, which I would agree is the case.... You probably can't get them filled in the USA or Canada.... I purchased the tank for my own use, after checking on the design spec. which is GB-28053-2011.... That is a very detailed technical specification, but here was the part I was concerned with, for my own peace of mind....Quote
5.2.2 Design of gas cylinders
5.2.2.1 hydrostatic test pressure shall be nominal 5/3 times the working pressure.
5.2.2.2 minimum burst pressure shall be 3.4 times the nominal working pressure.
5.2.2.3 cylinder design life of 15 years.
I am not recommending that anyone else purchase one, and I would expect you can't get it filled it you do.... but for my purposes I am satisfied that they will work just fine.... My gun will be equipped with a 5K burst disc, which is way under the test pressure, and still only about 1/3 of the burst pressure.... There is a difference between complying with marking requirements, and a safe product, IMO.... and yes, I am willing to bet my life on it.... within the parameters specified...."
Please do update us when you get the results."dodge3500"Once I finally get me one of them there warps with a 500cc cylinder ,I'll have no issues going to get it hydro tested as I have someone that will do it .I should be able to give the test results I just won't be able to get the seal issued on to it if that makes any sense.
Here is an air cylinder that is made to GB-28053-2011 Standard. Take notice of the marking on the tank."Dairyboy"This is his quote on the topic

Yes - so they are now putting it on the tanks. Not sure if that's good or bad. Originally the cylinders didn't have that on there, but now they do so I guess they are learning. Makes me wonder what else they weren't doing to the tanks."Dairyboy"
