N/A Washing, sorting, and lubricating slugs... What's your opinion?

I have been reading a lot of articles and watching a lot of videos about slugs. Some people clean them, sort them and lube them. And some people just open the package and run them. So I am interested in your opinions on if you all do or do not and why? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Tried it once? No appreciable gain in accuracy to waste time trying again. (For me. YMMV)

I pest with my airguns. I simply shoot everything in the tin bent or not. Since switching to JTS from JSB though consistency is way better and haven't had a bent pellet in who knows how many I've shot now.

I have never lube anything , but I recently saw that if I don't lube the slugs .. my uragans 1 simply don't group the same so they don't shoot the same at longer distance.. maybe it changes if I polish the barrels but so far they need to be lubed.

Before I sold my Vulcan 3 .. I was chronograph speeds , JSB is simply trash, inconsistencies were so bad that I thought that the reg was bad .but it was the pellets.. I had a tin of JTS and the spread between shoots got from 22 fps to 2fps so that it was that bad .

It's pretty sad honestly. JSB used to be much better but consistency has fallen off. I quit buying 18gr years ago as I would have too much inconsistency and different skirts and had some tins shoot great and others not. I see no reason to by JSB anymore with pellets like JTS and AEA and there consistency.

If nothing else. Cleaning your pellets will have your gun staying clean much longer. Which in turn affects accuracy and consistency.

Wash and lube. But if in a crunch, I will skip a wash but never a lube. If I would have to weigh and sort my slugs for them to shoot well, I would quit using that brand.

If you think its an advantage, then it is.....

at the very least you'll have culled them into more consistent sub-batches, and inspected each one for damage etc

I've taken to opening 10 tins of CPHP'S and putting them in my Rebel15 along with #10 of stainless steel pins, tumble for 30 minutes with a teaspoon of silicone oil.

I'm only doing this due to swarf and flashing removal. The accuracy seems to the same but the fliers have disappeared.

For my FT shooting I wash (Hydrostatic Washer) and lube my pellets.
Does it matter?
No way of telling.
I shoot 50% regardless

H&N heavy slugs, NSA slugs and Javelin slugs all come pre lubed so there is no need to clean & lube.
I have always found these slugs to be very accurate straight out of the tin, box or cylinder !
