For the money, this appears to be a great little rifle that is regulated with many more options including 10 rd mag, pump, scope, etc. I would like to see a lighter trigger pull at around 4 to 4.5 lbs. How about an adjustable trigger pull or would that push the price range ? I still use a pump on my Benjamin Discovery so it looked good that he was able to go from 1500 to 300 psi in less than 2 minutes. I am older, so it would probably take me a little longer. Currently I get about 25 good shots out of my 22 cal Discovery, so I am very interested in the regulated air rifle which would give me twice the number of shots with the same energy used at the pump.

After viewing the video, it seems to me that the Benjamin Fortitude looks to be a good entry-level PCP. Especially liked its performance with the heavy jumbos! Accuracy, subsonic, lightweight, etc., what more can you ask for.

I used to shoot springers until the rear sight mysteriously broke on my RWS 48. After that I’ve stuck to rimfire. The hand pump definitely makes a PCP more appealing to me. I like for things to be more on the minimalistic side. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but the accuracy seems pretty good on that thing for what it is.

I am not buying anymore Crosman anything until they actually put a trigger in them. I have gotten spoiled to target grade triggers over the years. Other than being heavy, my Trail is a decent hunter, now that I put an aftermarket trigger in it. That should be their company motto. Good guns once modified! .

I use my pellet rifles for hunting. No way i pay $300 for a kit I might be able to make a decent rifle out of with aftermarket parts. As more than one has said for years now. If Crosman ever puts a decent trigger in their products, a lot of these other names simply disappear. Without a decent trigger, the market is exploding with sources and names.

Looks like a great gun. Crosman offers great entry level rifles that perform at a much higher level.

Very nice entry level PCP rifle. My Daughters boyfriend just received his a couple of days ago and has already shot a 500 tin of Crosman Premier Hollow Points thru it. He said that it shoots nice out to about 30 yards but it does open up at 50 to about 2 inches. He still hasn't cleaned the barrel, so I think it can do better once he cleans it lol. My Gauntlet shot great out of the box and I did the same thing by not cleaning and the groups started to get worse, but then I cleaned the barrel and it shoots 1 inch groups out to 50 with no problems at all. When I win this gun lol, it will go to my Grandson.

Stoked for the launch of this product. Out of the box it is checking all of the things I want from a first PCP when the time comes. Shrouded barrel, traditional stock, light weight, and hand pump friendly. Sling studs and magazine fed are also great!

Good review. I am not a fan of PCPs but this one looks interesting, especially considering the price of admission. Might be a good beater and maybe for the wife, providing I pump it. She likes the 392 but none of the springers. The only other PCP's I have messed with have been the Maruader and a Quakenbush pistol (in 9mm) so I really have no baseline. John

Now the only thing they need on the gun is a better trigger. It is very impressive how they squeezed a regulator in there for the price point.

I am almost there ! Lookin Good on the Fortitude ! May move to one for a first PCP. From Old School 140 pump gun I grew up with & replaced seals a doz times.

I was looking at the umarex gauntlet for the kids, but it was too heavy. My kids are small. I'm thinking at 6.5 lbs. with a bug buster ought to be manageable for them. I wonder if Crosman will offer an upgrade to the Lothar Walther barrels at some point.
