watch your first forum

Gerry at the right top of home page it says watch your first forum.
@cwil58 I don’t see this, but I suspect that it is a way of instructing a newer member to “follow” a thread (your first thread) so that you can be alerted each time someone posts. Perhaps it’s a way to help familiarize a new member with one of the more oft used features of AGN. Just a hunch, but I’m unsure of what “watch your first forum” means.

I have done that

@cwil58 That golden eye turns blue when you follow a forum. My hunch may be correct. Try and follow a thread and see what happens. You should see a blue eye next to the forum you follow in the list of forums and sub-forums.
I have been a memeber for a long time and followed many threads and mine says the same thing.

@cwil58 ,
I got that message also after the site software changed. You have to select forum list from the drop down menu to show a list of all the forums. Then you click on one to open the homepage of that forum and then click the follow button in the upper right hand corner which lets you follow/watch an entire forum.

You can then unfollow the form to clear that message if you don't want notifications for anything new from the entire forum category.
