That's beautiful! You're own enchanted forest, bridge & waterways. Where are you in So.Cal., generally speaking? Our own (sort of, we rent) backyard in Oceanside has brought us some great & unexpected wildlife moments watching raptors nest & fledge in trees behind our property. It's small, sweet but can't compare to yours.

guy down here in Fl. had a problem with critters eating his koi so he put a floating gator head... problem solved

My shooting buddy Otis like em dead. He show up when the steel starts ringing. Looking for dead sparrows and starlings.

Sharp shinned or coopers hawk. neither want the fish. they are looking for crawlies along the banks. Rats, chipmunks and so forth.

I count on raptors to keep pests under control and they do. Nature takes care of itself.
