A way to keep both ends of a can intact and hang it so that the can is its own pellet trap at moderate number of pumps. Old-fashioned can lid puncher used with the holes opposite each other. Makes nice sounds as the pellets accumulate inside.

[later edit] I bent the hang wire later to tilt the can’s face slightly downward, even though this was not the can that batted a pellet back toward me. Just a precaution to avoid ricochets from traveling far.

Didn't buy any new airguns in 2023 but splashed out a bit for a HW100 project, originally a 600mm 41 joules .22 model from 2020. Now the sweetest 20fpe shooter. Not much factory left both inside and out.

.
I’ll show my lack of knowledge—what IS that?
Hello jetpopt:
That is the nose of a Sheridan Silverstreak that I picked up on FB Marketplace. I call it, Dumpster Queen. Those who know Sheridans call it a parts donar. I'm attempting to prove them wrong.
So far I've done my first valve restoration, and crown job. To show the difference here are two side by side.
I also repaired, and refinished that stock.

The next move is to make the sleeve.
The sleeve fits over the new copper end, and the brass pump tube. The sleeve will have to be notched to match the pump arm slot, and on the other side to slide past the front sight block.
Then it will be solder time.
When that's all said and done, i will have to drill the pin holes, which requiers perfection. I haven't quite envisioned this process yet. The gun would have to clamped 90 degrees to the dill press, and pehaps a jig made for the alignment20230220_094354.jpg20230218_212635.jpg20230218_211204.jpg
