Weaver T-36 or Sightron SII 36x42 for 200 yard shoot

I agree with your assessment shoot44, If I truly want to have total confidence in parallax among other qualities of my target scopes I prefer front Objective Parallax adj. I’ve owned a total of 1-Sightron,3-T-36’s, 2-NF-12-42X Br’s and an older B&L straight 36x, I feel all superior to side focus scopes! IMO... (but I also don’t like FFP scopes either! Maybe I’m just old school!)

Over the yrs. I know there were optics guys on both coasts that would modify and rebuild some of those scopes, Premier Reticle, for leupy’s was one!, don’t know if they still exist or not?, when I shot C.F. Benchrest and varmints alot of guys used them for custom Reticles! I loved the N.F. BR scopes but to big and heavy for an airgun?, maybe a benchrest gun? I really wish I still had one, also liked the B&L 36x too, very good glass!, ah yes the 40x!!! Bringing back memories... the last cf comp. gun was a 6br built on a Haverkamp action and a Brux barrel, that action was basically a custom 40x RB/LP!

Thanks guys on the info. I’m considering this Weaver or an SWFA HD 3x15 or 6x24 mil quad also but I hate FFP & haven’t found a 2nd FP model yet.

I never was a “snob” of scopes, air guns, anything except myself critiquing. Though once you get a taste of top shelf anything, it’s hard to settle & I realize I wasted a whole lot of dough on entry/mid level equipment. I simply can’t afford to buy very good to the best outright and have to save whenever I can but prefer to wait & do so now.

If anyone has noticed there are guns that we all lusted after being sold at great prices now that some new leaps & bounds are coming.

I think I’ll grab a Weaver over the Summer if they’re still left. If not I’m glad I shared that sale price with guys who’ll appreciate one.
