Webley Stingray Deluxe Carbine .22

Shot my Stingray today. Almost got 10 in 3/8 ctc @ 25y but for one I didn't concentrate on. Not bad for just grabbing some CHP and trying once. We can do better but this was satisfying enough. While one of our sons cooked dinner on the grill.

Pretty translucent walnut stock. Home made delrin guide. Stock spring and seal. I think it makes 14 or 15 ft lb. Pretty snappy. Honed and adjusted trigger is crisp. Nice. A vintage Tasco Airgun scope. 2-7x32. Abandoned the BKL one peice mount for two single strap BKL recently. Rifle itself is about 6.8 lbs. Sweet little rifle. Mint.

Adjusted the scope on my rare 1985 BSA Mercury Challenger carbine .22 as well. Does what you expect from a BSA barrel. Beautiful gun. Easy handling. Period Bushnell 4x airgun scope in BKL

Out of fun,I’d like one but the trigger is not my favorite. It’s basically not a Tommy but a tad bigger than a longbow cylinder of 27 mm .. neat Looking guns. as for the stocks. Many were plain because it wasn’t true walnut. In the term ,black walnut.. looked like some form of Merbau or Movingui wood

I agree, I do not set any of my triggers for that low.I hunt and in the field, when I draw quickly on game I need not misfire Actually i like a bit more resistance in my first stage. Then , the wall, and a crisp break. Many here would not think so poorly of these single sear engagement triggers if they were not bench bots.. I still would get one if one were to come up.
