Weekend Stock Painting Fun

My 12 yr-old son is grounded for a while from the computer, so in an effort to find something to do with him in his boredom I decided to paint some stocks with him. I had been meaning for a while to paint the Maddog stock on my Texan 45 cal carbine, so this weekend we had it. I also grabbed a couple of Gamos (Swarm Maxim .177 and Swarm Magnum .22) that were in the corner to do something with those as well. I figured it would be no loss if we totally ruined those stocks. 

I don't think they turned out half-bad!

Nice work! The ace bandage camo wrap works great on the barrels and scopes when you head out to use them too. You can find them for $2 a roll on Amazon, whereas Bass Pro wants $10 for the same thing.

I also have a RJ-6A Recon (http://www.maddogcrs.com/Air-Force-RJ-6A-Recon_p_37.html) on a Texan 308 which I'm trying to sell. You can see pictures of the RJ-6A here: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/wts-airforce-texan-308-with-hawke-scope-airforce-bipod-and-maddog-custom-stock/.

The Ultima Long offers a bit more portability while the RJ-6A is more for bench shooting.

Ok Thanks. I guess I will need to order atleast one Ultima for my carbine and might put it up to my reg Texan and see if I need a second.



Been looking at that 308 Texan, but need to sale or trade off my Texan LSS in .457 first. I own 4 Texans now. ( 1- .257 & 3- .457 )

Those look great! How long is he off the computer? I have a wood stocked Benji that could use a camo paint scheme.
