Weihrauch HW110 slight velocity drop

I have at least 2000 rounds through my HW110 .177 rifle. I noticed that the velocity is not what is was when new. Depending on pellets, I see a velocity decrease of 25 to 55 feet per second. Is this a normal thing with PCP's? I have seen small increments in velocity loss as time went on and now it's about what I have stated. Will it go lower, stop or level off? Let me also add that I shot some Knockout slugs through the gun last night to test. Does anyone find that slugs are leading the barrels causing a decrease in velocity. I was considering buying another HW110 in .22 or a Brocock Compatto in .22. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

it's time to clean the barrel, it getting leaded and need a through cleaning, best to remove the barrel for cleaning, if it's like the HW100 it has a 45* grub screw above the air cylinder, remove the cylinder to access the grub screw, be very careful not to damage any O-rings in the process. clean the barrel with JB bore cleaner or you can use Ballistol.

I own a 110ST in .177 and have shot a fraction (25-30%) of the pellets that you have. I've not cleaned the barrel since it was new and still shoots MOC - minute of chipmunk out to 50yds. I DID experience an o ring blowout in the breech block internal area and that failure made a very noticeable sound difference and showed the broken ends of the o ring protruding outward into the mag slot. I mention this 'cause your issue "could" possibly be associated with the same type failure, yet not showing the broken o ring? I didn't feel comfortable dis-assembling myself and the rifle was still covered under warranty - though I had to pay shipping back to AOA, with a fairly quick fix and turnaround....all is right again in the world of chipper elimination. ;-)

Thanks hobbyman for the info. AOA has been great they knew what i was talking about. I agree that its not a big deal adjusting the gun but if for some reason if break it or snap something, I own it. If they do it, they own it. Didn't realize it wouldn't void warranty. I will check the velocity when i get it back and decide if it meets expectations.

Ok well I didn't send it in, so I fixed it myself. I picked up some metric allen wrenches and adjusted the power level myself. I got it just about where it was maybe just slightly over. It took almost 3/4 if not a full turn to the left to get it there. The screw wasn't tight and moved ok. Not loose and not tight. Its hitting hard again just like new. The cost of shipping it in and getting another box was too high. So I'm happy that it’s back to normal. Hw110 is a pretty simple adjustment. 30 shots from full to yellow before it falls off. Thanks for everyones advice.
