I have at least 2000 rounds through my HW110 .177 rifle. I noticed that the velocity is not what is was when new. Depending on pellets, I see a velocity decrease of 25 to 55 feet per second. Is this a normal thing with PCP's? I have seen small increments in velocity loss as time went on and now it's about what I have stated. Will it go lower, stop or level off? Let me also add that I shot some Knockout slugs through the gun last night to test. Does anyone find that slugs are leading the barrels causing a decrease in velocity. I was considering buying another HW110 in .22 or a Brocock Compatto in .22. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
