Maybe for the next one but never had a laminate stock, was inspired by the blue laminate on the HW97 and when a link got posted about Craftsman Vit and the ones he makes, it sealed the deal for me.
While they call it Ocean Grey, I asked, he said while he never had before he could make one in the color and my HW95 got dressed up in it for it's 5th birthday in my collection. Scope is a Hawke Airmax 4-12x40 in BKL double strap rings and I added stainless hardware to complete things. I have an R9 .20 here that when money allows is getting dressed up too, just not sure which way yet...lol.
I find it interesting that they use American Black Walnut. You can't really identify walnut origin by looks. That has to do with growing conditions more than anything.
I got this Paul Bishop stock a few months ago for some of the same reasons as you. I have 3 R9's, 2 98's and an R10 that can fit the same stock. Right now I have decked out R9 .20cal. in it that I use for FT matches.
Recently got a UK stock for my Pro Sport and made my own pistol grip cap rather than the one they offered.
Custom stock UK does excellent work and I highly recommend them. Pictures do not do the stocks full justice. Gorgeous and the palm swell is perfect. Life is too short to shoot wrong handed stocks!
