Weihrauch HW98 Match Model

I would imagine most dovetail diopters would fit. Not sure if the front sight would be high enough for that kind of setup though.
That front sight looks fine to me. I put an Anschutz diopter on my 35e, using the factory front globe sight with no problem.

Seeint this one makes me wish I had waited after buying the scope only model

First one i ever seen with factory sights.

Ive looked at one a lot over time and for fun just scrolled google images a long way down to see if i could find another..

Heck not the first or even one that was drilled for sights.. unusual find there if true..

Then maybe it's somthing new whineright did to help sales to open sight guys like me that just pass it over . Heck they did stock changes so why not?

Buying A gun with out sights is like buying a car without a steering wheel..lol 😇

What are the advantages of a barrel sleeve? And where does the extra weight come from? The only reason I haven’t bought a 98 before now is because it does not have iron sights.
The original/traditional 98 was never made to be used with iron sights, designed and built for FT. The weight is and comes from the barrel sleeve, think of it as a barrel over a barrel if that's makes things easy. The added weight reduces felt recoil and keeps down "muzzle flip".

For a direct comparison here are my 3 R9's/95's. The top & bottom ones have a barrel sleeve. I purchased them separately and installed. I like the look, feel and added rigidity it provides.

Theres some uk air gun articles on it to review ,

I donk know if the extra weight pays off in one of these outside absorbs some recoil? Maybe looks? i kinda think the 95 is barrel heavey as is somewhat. It gives a quality steel as it is . See again you guess at what you see on line not walk in and hold one to make a real jugment call on things. Its a buy it and hope you like it .

Seeing its a shrouded barrel not a true bull kinda dont know, not fond of my shrouded guns anyway vs a real steel one . I seem to get a tad more poi change shrouded. Personly i wish hw would up there .22 fps game some. A little more zip and strighter shooting. Im good where the .177 is at ..

Then you get that and same power rating not its a 850fps .22 gun vs the standard 700 somthing.

Ooops.. that muldenair gun is a stright steel barrel not shrouded.. more interesting...

I’m very intrigued with the Hw98 M . 7.5 joule. Not comfortable ordering from overseas. Not that I need another air rifle.
Look at Krale in the Netherlands, prices and delivery are hard to beat. Get your order in before their closing time, maybe mid day to beat UPS pickup time and you should have it in 3-4 days here in US. AOA may take ten days plus cost more. I have gotten 4 guns from them with no problems.

DualMagMike thanks again for sharing. I as well like the look of the barrel sleeve. Can I ask where you buy the sleeves? Crow
