Could be who lubed up the gun that day .

One got good paste or over pasted / less twang the other just enough to say it's got some / and twang..

No big deal. Just get you own paste/ lube go in clean out the factory stuff inspect , deburr, go back together with a personal proper lube job...

Seems most biy new and take them down to "fix" factory mess so to say.

Most hw benefit from that little new gun tlc.

Maybe before hand look over a arh spring and a couple of seals .. ( or vortex seals) . My latest R9 the factory spring broke in like 6 months . Then I do pound the pellets with it ,so... ( it can be hard to put down if I got a full tin ..lol).

Anyway it's a spring gun so sometimes spring noise is just a springer thing ..

I got one that sounds like grandma's back porch screen door grampa never oils .. lol. But shoots great...

My thing is, I've never taken a springer apart and am afraid I'd mess it up to where it wouldn't shoot again.

LoL.. one time you'll cock it and it just seems off or you hear a crack/ snap sound.. now I've shot just fine with a broken spring maybe had a elevation dip but not excessive .. lol

Anyway to really know spring health is to pull it out .

You may just pull the stock and see the break in the cocking arm slot



This one shot good till I would hear a distinct snapping noise when cocking

No telling how many shots before I decided better check it..

I'm good for 6 months ( stock) to a year on one ..(arh) ..

All of these are made in the same place, on the same machinery, by the same people. The only difference is the stamping on the side. Almost any mass produced product can/will have tolerance differences to some extent.

All the Beemans were made by Weihrauch, Beeman was just a importer to the states with a Beeman logo. Of the Beemans I’ve owned the fit and finish was better as well as the bluing. Those were 2007 and 2014 rifles IIRC. I have one 2016 Weihrauch from Krales a 77K green laminate and it’s a fine rifle, but it doesn’t compare to my 2007 Huntington Beach HW97K with the Beeman logo.

I was speaking of the Beemans from Wiehrauch and made in Germany, those are the ones I consider real Beemans…lol. But I get your point.

How do you know if the spring is broke?

It can be hard to tell if a spring is broken. Depending on where a spring breaks you may have slack once the barrel breaks. They usually break a few coils up from the trigger end and that usually leaves enough preload not to get that slack. Another indication is a crunch noise towards the end of the cocking stroke. Broken Weihrauch springs are pretty common when shot regularly. It can be hard to tell if they're broke without a chronograph and records keeping. Typically a rifle will start grouping poorly and have wider extreme spreads in velocity. I've taken apart rifles that were operating relatively well with broken that had no noticeable indication of a broken spring.

A 50 is a buzzy rifle without a kit. A beautiful rifle with one. It might be worth having a kit and piston seal put in even if the spring is fine.
