Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

Hi there, all air-gunners.

I'm happy to take part of this community. I have been "on fire" for airgun shooting in a couple of years now. I have tried airpistol,
then air-rifle, and now I have made up my mind, what I like most of all is target shooting, 10 meters.
It's the ultimate relaxing thing to do, to take all the concentration that you've got, in purpose to deliver a good result, I just love it.

I have a simple shooting range at home, and I shoot a serie of 5x5 bullets every day almost. My airpistol is a Gamo Compact right now, that
gives an acceptable accuracy, without a big pricetag. I read a lot of tips on the internet, and tries to practice them also, in order to become
a better marksman. My personal record is now 233 points out of 250. But I want to get better.

I live in Sweden, talking is one thing, writing properly is another. So have patience
with the grammar : )

I wish you all the best, and have a good time with your guns,

Bo Carlsson, Sweden

Hello guys and gals my name is Adam aka kanthal which is what my friends call me. I am 35ish with a wonderful wife that deals with my stuff....I have 2 years plus clean and have found hobbies to be one of the best ways to stay that way. I grew up 50 miles north of Pittsburgh on a beef cattle farm. Then after spending way to long in the city,I found my way here in the Allegheny national forest on a mountain top. I shoot almost every day inside and out, about 2000 a month. I really like field target and 10m paper but I am really starting to like long distance benchrest. Thanks for inviting me into your club.

Hello, everybody!

My first post here. I'm new to airguns but very fluent with conventional firearms. Actually an NRA-certified handgun instructor.

Decided to get an air rifle by a coyote attack on one of our two basset hound puppies, then four months old. Fortunately it was a juvenile coyote and lasted less than ten seconds but still nearly $1,000 in vet bills. So, formal declaration of war which is soon to go active. Can't discretely address the problem with the .308's, AR's or anything else due to proximity with neighbors. While we aren't right on top of each other and the sheriff doesn't (unofficially) care (as long as being safe and responsible in taking out coyotes), we felt we should be more discrete. So after a lot of research...

Our RAW HM1000x .30 caliber arrived. Outfitted with a Vortex Viper HS 6-24x50, it's a pretty impressive performer. The sound level is comparable to a pneumatic nail gun, not bad and definitely quieter than the sound on impact. With JSB Diablo Exact 44.75 grain pellets, at 85 yards, putting three rounds inside a quarter is pretty routine. Many times they share the same hole! With the scope zero'ed, it's time to look for Mr. Coyote. The .30 should offer plenty of accuracy and punch to send a serious message. Of course, in the meantime, it's important to stay fresh with the skills and frequently check that everything is accurately sighted. Between this forum and predatormastersforums.com, lots of information!

I should offer our special thanks to Mark Buchanan in AZ for his help in expediting our order exactly how we wanted it configured. Mark did a great job and we are absolutely pleased with how things have turned out.

Hi all! Longtime air gunner, archer, and shooter here in CO. Older guy (62) and I just found this site. Most of my air shooting these days is pest control but I still like to get out in the field. Anyway, great site and I look forward to joining in on the fun. Things have sure changed since the Daisy's and Crosman's of the 60's and the Beeman's of the 80's to now. I'm kind of behind the times and want to catch up. My current airguns are: RWS 24, RWS 34, RWS 6G pistol, and an HW50s. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, new guy here. My real name is Mike but have had the nickname hollywood for the last 6 years or so. I'm brand new to air guns unless you count the old pump action bb gun I had about 18 years ago. I've been interested in getting into the hobby for a couple years now. I hope to learn from everyone here and perhaps maybe contribute once the time comes. I'm prior service (4 years USMC). I'm married and have three sons ages 8,3, and 11 months. I live in middle TN.

Hollywood, ( I know another "Hollywood" named Mike who lives in Nashville)

You MUST attend a Field Target shoot! You'll learn SO much in just one day, get to shoot many many different rifles, check scopes, meet other airgun folks face to face, priceless.

GOB Club:
http://www.gobft.net/directions.html normally $5.00 to shoot & $10.00 if lunch served.

And the Invicta club:

I am Harold from Los Angeles. I retired 11 years by now. Last year, I caught the airgun bug and started buying guns and setting up shooting range in the house. I am content with 10 yard 3 shots in one dime result. So I acquired guns like Weihrauch, Walther and AirArm. I just got HW35E from Airgun of Arizona this week, in .177 and .22. I join this club to gain more knowledge in this field and share my view if appropriate.

I learned to waste 22LR rounds as soon as I could hold my Grandfathers Remington barn rifle. Decades later, I still have that rifle. To me, firearms have always been just a tool I use when and if desired or required; not a passion really. I've owned a few handguns and rifles. I've participated in range competition in the past but was inspired to do so by friends interests. About 10 years ago, that all changed.

I have a High Standard Olympic target pistol I bought in 1973. A brick of 22LR was still cheap and difficult to avoid stumbling across anywhere ammo was sold in 2007. I rekindled the love affair which had laid dormant so long with that pistol. Like many romances, this one blossomed into full blown frustration. Over the next decade, bangs became more rare and much more costly. Casual spontaneity? A thing of the past as ammo became elusive and 22 LR topped the endangered list. Like many others, I became a hoarder and never passed an opportunity to stock up whenever I found it and at whatever price the market was currently baring. Even though I now have a few months plinking stash, I find no joy in hitting the range for fear it will never be widely available again. But it's easy to find pellets.

I have owned a 1377 since the mid 70's. I like it but find it tedious and impossible to maintain enthusiasm with all the pumping required to get just one plink. My recently acquired break barrel crosman (with tuned trigger) is only a slight improvement even with the pellet pen quickening reloads. But the phantom has given me hope and a preview of better options out there.

I've fallen in love with bullpups over the last couple of years thanks to my pump action 15 round 12 gauge boom stick. I think one of the new PCP bullpups is going to follow me home soon. Pellets are the new 22LR! I'll be lurking and weighing your collective posted experience to determine where nirvana lies and at what model to throw some fundage.

Thanks in advance.

Hello All,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Stuart Gabriel, I will be 70 years young next month and I have been married for 49 years. I have three children along with three grand children. I live in Philly and have been an avid shooter and collector of Firearms since I was ten years old!

I got interested in Airguns about 15 years ago when I lost my left eye to a Diabetic Stroke...I was searching for ways to continue my passion for the shooting sports (because I could no longer shoot competively any more)...That's when I ran into the World of PCP Rifles and became hooked big time!

I created my own Web Site, about five years ago, so everyone could enjoy my collection as much as I do. My collection includes Air Guns, Air Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, Rifles and much more....

I have had over 500,000 vistors to my site in the past five years....

If you have an opportunity please stop by and checkout my collection and let me know what you think?

Hello, my name is Springer Hal.

I live in Southern California's High Mojave Desert, and enjoy plinking in the surrounding desert wilderness and also target shooting on my 25-50 yard backyard range and on my 11-yard indoor range.

I'm an 80-year-old retired Aerospace Engineer, and my main interest is in the engineering, design, and ballistic performance of various airgun types.

I own several Powderburners and several Air Rifles, and also a newly acquired Air Pistol.

I have no interest in hunting or competitive target shooting...i just shoot for my own enjoyment, and will kill
nothing but a Mojave Green who happens to be threatening my desert plinking enjoyment.

That's it.....
