Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

I have been signed up for this site for quite some time now and I don't think I have introduced myself. My name is LLoyd. I bought my first Benjamin pellet rifle in 1985. The next pellet rifle wasn't until 2011, an RWS 48 in .22. I then started shooting more and bought a Discovery .22 last year and a, FX Wildcat .25 in September of this year. The Wildcat is getting plenty of use and I am loving it :) Thanks to all the kind people I have chatted with so far and look forward to chatting with a lot more of you. LLoyd

Hi.

I am Bruno from France. I have rediscovered airguns about 7 years ago. My main interests are springers and I own:
HW35 .22,
HW50 .177,
Diana (rws) 36 .177,
Webley Tracker (Barnett Spitfire) .22 gasram,
Relum Tornado .22,
HW45 .177 and .22,
Webley Junior .177
More recently, I became the proud owner of a Daystate Huntsman Classic in .177 flavour.
I have visited Airgun Nation on a few occasions, where I have found very useful information on my new pcp. I then decided to join your community.

Hello all, Mike from Western Kentucky here. I have been shooting air rifles pretty much all my life, from my first red Ryder,to my high powered break barrels I favor today. I shoot target some, but mostly i hunt pest and vermin, most of which is done in an urban environment. Very satisfied. With my break barrels, but would love to step into a multi shot pcp one day, thanks for having me.

Hi all. Have been lurking and recently joined after deciding to go all in with air guns. I have learned much from the collective that is AGNation. I rebuilt a cantankerous Crossman 2250B about five years ago before stepping up to a .22 Prod and a Hill Mk 3 to give it life. Recently obtained a .25 Synrod discovering the Mk 3 was not happy with the workout the Synrod requires. I've since asked Santa for a CF tank and a compressor. =)

Anyway, I hope AGNation can assimilate another humble enthusiast.

Greetings from Wisconsin! I am Howard (Yoopper), lifelong hunter, shooter and hobby gunsmith. Started out with a Benj. Pump BB and had to have it rebuilt twice from all the shooting at bottles, cans an UP Red Squirrels. My interest in air guns has been rekindled this year since building a AF Talon clone in .45 cal. Its like Johnny Cash's car in song; Mauser trigger, aluminum ladder frame, black powder barrel and a Mag Lite flashlight receiver. Like it so much, I bought a real Talon P .

Looking forward to getting acquainted with you airgunners and learning new things.

Greeting from Michigan.
Been looking around this site for about a week or so, signed up yesterday. Been shooting firearm rifles and pistols for most of my life. Recently discovered a Crossman, model 112 pellet pistol (Co2) that my Dad bought back in about 1950 or 51. Had it resealed and it shoots VERY well. About 2 weeks ago I bought a Brocock, Compatto, PCP rifle in .22 cal. Been having a blast shooting both guns. Looking forward to learning more about all air guns.
I am retired from selling Harley Davidson Motorcycles and have more time (I hope) than money.

Hello from California.

I grew up in the north east in a hunting family and firearms have always been part of my life. I first learned to shoot on a pump daisy airgun in my back yard, followed by a .22lr rifle. I was an active shooter in my school's rifle team and with the boy scouts. Many years later in my life I moved to California and most of my favorite firearms had to stay back east. I still have a small collection today but unfortunately this state tries to make the hobby of shooting as difficult as possible. Luckily I recently discovered this new realm of PCP airguns and am looking to add a few to my safe and getting back into more active shooting. I came here via finding Ted('sholdover) and AirArmsHuntingSA youtube channels, I am sure many have found there way here as well.

Looking forward to exploring this new found hobby with many of you.

Cheers,
Warren

Hello from Idaho, I am have lived in Idaho all my life and so have been around guns and hunting for many years. I have recently started looking at air guns again, since my grandkids are now getting to an age that they are beginning to shoot. BB and pellet guns is where I started but they have sure come a long ways from what I had way back when. I have a couple springers but have just purchased a pcp. I am trying to get the airforce condor tuned up and that is how I happened to stumble onto this site. I look forward to reading about what modifications and/or improvements others have done to their pcp guns. Maybe I will add some to mine as time goes on. Look forward to exchanging information with all of you other airgunners. Take care and happy plinking J

Hi I'm Adam and I've been reading these forums for some time. I'm from Pittsburgh and I have been shooting air rifles since I can even remember. I look forward to posting more around here.

Hello All,

Jason from Minneapolis. I've been shooting since I was a kid. Had my first daisy pellet gun as a kid. Grew up hunting shooting shotguns and rifles. Got bit by the air bug 2 years ago and received a Ruger Break Barrel for a Christmas present. I've had a lot of fun shooting this with some success. Diving deeper into the air rifle world I stumbled upon Teds you tube channel and became fascinated. I bought my "entry" level gun this fall (woods walker) and just fell in love with it and also was amazed by the performance of these guns. I use it for hunting/plinking/target shooting and varmints and pests. The initial cost was a hard bullet to swallow :) ...but now that's out of the way I look forward to spending much more on this awesome hobby! I want to thank all of you for all of the amazing information you all share.

My name is Justin from Kentucky and I'm fairly new to pcp rifles but have been shooting stuff all of my life. Dad is a big pb enthusiast and always took me with him to compete in IPSC pistol matches. Had fun competing in junior class but time constraints and life changes pulled us away. We hunted together a lot in my younger days but he mainly fishes these days while I've gone deeper into air power. My first gun as a kid was a trusty 760 that I used daily dispatching pest birds and rabbits around my grandparents garden. He said my kills were the best fertilizer! Started chasing girls and shooting sports got low on the list of priorities. Now I've settled down and shopping Amazon one night found a gamo springer for sale at 100 bucks. Decided I "needed" one for the blackbirds and chipmunks around the house. Thought it was best thing ever till I found pyramid air and got a Benjamin .22 and a Hatsan .25 nitro Pistons. Then came Ted on YouTube. Then came the marauder .25 since I hunt regularly. Still have the marauder and wouldn't trade it for the world. Practiced for a year to compete at pyramid air cup. Thought I was going to do well. Decided to read the rules two months before competition. Uh oh, no .25. Order the .22 marauder and hated it. Sent it back and traded for gamo coyote .177 for hunter field target. I absolutely love it! I think I got lucky with how well mine shoots. Did better than expected at completion with short amount of time I had to learn the gun and met some really great people. Still tweaking the rifle to be better for next year. I have a couple Hatsan pcps I'm working on now and got the lady a Maximus that is crazy accurate. Needless to say I'm hooked! Every single interaction I've had to this date with a fellow air gunner has been fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better group of people and I'm fortunate to be welcomed the way I've been. I never feel stressed looking through a scope and the exercise I get while hunting helps me get permission nearly every weekend from the lady. I'm always willing to talk air guns and looking forward to meeting more of you in the years to come.

Hi everyone!

After a long time of lurking i finally decided to open an account. My interest in the hobby was started by my dad handed me his first and only air rifle when I was just 4 years old - an old beat up Slavia 620. Unfortunately owning any kind of firearms or anything that looks like one is frowned upon here so my most of my shooting was done in our attic.
Fast forward 20 years. A friend invited me to a 100m match with old military rifles and I fell in love. Since then I have bought myself a K31, Walther PPQ and a couple .22lr match rifles but due to new pending regulations regarding firearm ranges I decided to go back to where it all started. And of course becouse of Youtube and Ted videos... ;)

Hello my name is Vinnie.I am just getting back into air rifles. I used to own two Crosman Power Masters BB, .177 pellet combo rifles and a Crosman Pump Master .22. I own these rifles back in the day when I was in my teens. Well, I turn 60 at the end of the month and I want to get back into the hobby again. Ok... now it gets confusing I'm looking for a air rifle under $200.00 and when I read the reviews my head starts to spin. I have narrowed it down to a Benjamin Titan NP .22. The reviews look real good. The rifle uses a nitro piston and not a spring which I have read is good. I know on most of these lower budget rifles the scopes are not the best and may need replacing. I am looking for a rifle that will out live me and be good for target and small game hunting. Is the Benjamin Titan NP .22 a good pick?
Please help, thanks, Vinnie

Welcome aboard Vinnie. You really can't go wrong with the Daily deal I just checked at Pyamyd for $129.99, but don't be fooled by the 1200 FPS they advertise. Power is not every thing if you can't hit what you're aiming at because of the harsh recoil of these rifles. I bought a 22 Umarex Octane when I first started and being a noobie I thought it was fairly accurate until I shot my first Air Arms TX 200 or Weihrauch HW30.
I would look at the Weihrauch HW95 that AOA has going for $315 and never look back. Either that or a nice Beeman R9 from Pyramyd air. I suspect the R9 will be a little quieter. We have a guy in our FT club that swears by the R-9's and the HW95's! That's all he shoots now days and he's won his share of Hunter Piston class!
Just google Ed Canoles R9 or NCEd R-9 of course he shoots .177 in FT.

Anyway you'll have lots to learn in this addiction and the internet sure has made that much easier now days. Post targets when you get your new rifle and get the chance!

Hello Everyone! My name is Ray and I’m a 47-year-old Army veteran. Recently moved to Southern California by way of Chicago. Started shooting a 1377 in high school but didn't pick up another air gun until sometime in 2009 when I realized we had rats traipsing through our backyard in Chicago. After some research, I bought an AA TX200 hc and hawke scope from Straight Shooters and began trying to put a dent in the rat population. It was a futile, but fun, effort. As the addiction grew, I began watching Ted’s videos and graduated to the PCPs (Matador .22, Hummingbird .22, and Veles .177). Anyway, I thought my rodent shooting days were behind me when I move to SoCal but, alas, we have ground squirrels tearing up the property (and to my surprise coyotes). I recently bought a Vulcan .25 and a Mutant .22 from Joe Broncato. Excited to have stumble upon this forum and looking forward to learning and contributing.

Hi I am Mike. I got into air guns about 10 years ago. When I retired early and moved from Oregon to Montana, the first person I got to be friends with is Barry Abel. If there are any of you old old air-gunners out there, Barry published Airgun Ads, and the last one may have been 20 years ago. So, Barry got me interested in air guns. I have also gotten to be great friends with Rick Willnecker, Greg Fuller and Peter Ruut thanks to Barry. I mainly buy, sell and repair Benjamin, Crosman, Sheridan and Smith Wesson CO2 and pumpers. I have approximately 100 old ones in my collection. I do have a few PCPs in my collection, Disco 22 that I modified, Marauder .25 cal., Daystate Air Ranger .20 cal. and RAW HM1000X .25 cal.
Thanks Mike
