I have wanted a Zoraki pistol for years but there were never any around when I was looking. One of our forum members noticed on a post that I was looking and offered me one in .22 then later another in .177. So I quickly replied I would love to have them both.
I got home from a bank and fast food run and there was a package hidden away, thanks postman, next to my doorstep. Brought it in and upon opening it found it was my Exclusive 22xx breech. I traded a new old stock RJMachine steel breech for a few days back. I always have projects and really appreciate having repeater breeches on hand. Half an hour later there was a knock on the door and when I got there there was another package not hidden away but on my doorstep. Good thing I heard the knock cuz things disappear from door steps and porches pretty quickly around here these days. Anyway I took the package to my basement hideout, got the scissors and razor knife out, and carefully sliced open the box . There they were, in all of their glory, my new to me ZorakiHP01 and HP02 pistols. That’s .22 and .177 caliber.
I couldn’t wait to get them out and shoot them and it didn’t take long for me to do so. First off these things may be big and bulky but don’t let that fool you they are featherweight guns. My arms are really messed up, for the third time now, and they appreciate the lightness of this pistol greatly. I was a bit concerned I would not be able to pump them up to shoot them also. Well that thought faded quite quickly on the first pump. One pump was extremely easy and I could do the second pump but probly not a good idea to do that too many times as yet. I will leave the third pump for a month or two down the road.
These things are a dream to shoot with an excellent adjustable trigger, adjustable grips and good adjustable sights. I managed to get off thirty or forty rounds before my arms complained and said that’s enough. That was enough rounds to get both of them roughly sighted in though and I was shooting three quarter of an inch groups at ten meters with the last few shots which for me at this time in my life is quite good. I will be doing better later. So now I have my physical therapy all figured out. ;^) I’ll just add a few rounds every day to the other exercises I should be doing.
Shortly after I made the deal on these pistols I checked with MaxArmory and noticed they were taking pre-orders for the Zoraki HP guns again. Although I repeatedly fought off the addictions whisperings and tauntings, but within a couple of days, I finally gave in and grabbed up a couple of the Ultra models. Which are the pistols I really wanted in the first place. So there now I have plenty to do in these insane virus stricken days and it did not come from Turkey where these and so many other guns are made.
