Werqing on the shroud/moderator for the 600. I decided to try something different and have no support at the very front of the barrel this time. So I would have more volume to quiet things down. Made the adapter out of Delrin and put six set screws in it so I could tune it to be true. I got the runout down to .002-.003 so did pretty well. Still it took me forever to do it. Made the hole a bit large, at the muzzle end, just to make sure no clipping goes on. Thought I was taking a shortcut by not making another part for the barrel muzzle but this ended up being the scenic route instead. Planned on using hot glue, to put it together, but I think that set up time is too short so epoxy it will have to be.
I still have to carve a piece out of the carbon fiber, to match the Delrin adapter, to allow me to remove the piercing cap and insert new co2 carts. Then glue this Frankenstein together and be done with it.
I am really trying not to lose interest in the middle of all this but it is difficult so I figure if I post it it will get finished.
