Western Airguns Western Airguns Rattler Compact .25 reliable?

I have own several semi autos in the past and had problems with several of them including broken regulator, leaking air tube right away, cycling issues, etc. I was hoping people could share their experience with the compact version of the rattler in 0.25 caliber. Specifically, given that they are relatively new, have folks encounter some common problems? When the LCS sk19 first came out, the regulator was bad on mine, and my rifle had to be sent in three times to fix the regulator. I was told by aoa that LCS had to come out with a new regulator given the # of returns. I am hoping the rattler with the removable magazine isn’t causing problems. I really would like to purchase it. Appreciate anyone’s comments/experience.

FWIW, I've had my .30 Sidewinder for over a year, and I have yet to have a problem with it. If I'm not mistaken the "S" model is the same gun but with a smaller bottle, and shorter barrel. I too have been heavily considering getting an "S" in .25, and will likely pull the trigger on it soon, given my positive experience with my .30 Sidewinder. I did however see one fellow on the YT who wasn't pleased due to some additional magazines he had purchased being out of spec. So I suppose that's something one might want to check as soon as they come in should they buy extra.

I own a Sidewinder in .30 Cal for more than a year. Absolutely problem free, plus accurate and reliable.

I'm also own a Sidewinder in .25 that had a piece of the block broken, in less than a week I recieved the replace part absolutely free and since then it has been free of any problem plus accurate and reliable.

The advantages of these semis are VERY difficult to beat for hunting purposes.

No problems at all with my .22s compact. A little loud by the ear when shooting but it probably seems louder to the shooter than it really is to the rest of the world. Don't know why a .25 cal compact would be any different (quality/reliability wise).

I really like the removable mag even though it probably contributes to the noise to the shooter (which I might be able to reduce some through barrel/magazine interface adjustment, but I haven't found the real 'need' to do that yet, and the gun is shooting great).

Personally I have had excellent luck anytime in the past where a gun I have purchased from AoA has mis-behaved. They've always taken great care of me. I think that they got stuck in the middle somewhat with the LCS guns they chose to sell. Ultimately they found that the LCS guns could have been designed or built better, and then they could no longer get parts from the LCS to repair customer guns (or so I have been told).

Seems like the Western brand is like an AoA 'house' brand, and was designed/fabricated based on their experience with the LCS guns and their issues.
