Western Airguns Western sidewinder diagram

no western does not release diagrams to us i been threw this and wrote to company 3 times with no response for my rattler , I bought one with many issues I sorted it all out now it is great , I also bought a oring kit just to measure orings to source them , we should not have to do this , every other company is user friendly ,
here is a tip I learned for seeing most of your internals , with diagrams ,
So the sk19 was a pcp sold this is identical gun as rattler and btw rattler is very close to sidewinder so all applies except for removal mag ,
so you can view the sk19 , let me know what you need help with ,
I had my gun jamming and also creeping after adjusting reg and it shot horribly now it is sub moa
so my multible issues were ,
1, ,mag accuater had lead in it causing jame
2, barrel was horrible I polished out flaws and re crowned
3, my regulator was rusted so bad when i adjusted it rust flaked off and got into delron seat , I al sure you have some of my issues ,
I now helped dozens with same issues as mine , they all have simular issues but can be fixed easily , why a company which sells these 2 models 2300 and almost 3k and wont even answer emails nor post diagrams is poor , many keep dumping guns cause of thisand they keep being resold until someone now does like I did and to be honest once you get into gun it is a simple gun , but it is intimadating with no diagrams and nothing out there to see , but like I said sk10 has videos out there messege me with issues

Thank you for your reply and offer to help. I have not shot my sidewinder yet, I always download diagrams for all my pcps because I know eventually they all need work. This is the first time I have not been able to find one. Hopefully I won't have any problems, I just received it Saturday and haven't had a chance to shoot it. Very odd that western will not provide the diagram even after a customer request. Thanks again!

My sidewinder (regular) has been in and out of AoA a few times. QC is fine on mine, barrel performs lovely at 100yd w/ 25/34gn pellets but I haven’t bore scoped it or inspected it thoroughly. Overall it is a great functioning machine and I’ve put well over 6k pellets through it.

However, it has malfunctioned catastrophically for an over tensioned spring and broken valve pin (floating pin? I can’t remember the exact wording), once for a shaved pellet- mag jam, and twice for magazine/barrel seating - the last of which is easy once you see it done.

I know most are minor hiccups BUT there is no proper documentation for working on my rifle and I hate that. I would not mind paying for the specialized tools and knowledge to be self-sufficient but instead I am v thankful that I’m local to Airguns of Arizona. I have the time and resources to leave it there for them to work on it but I don’t feel right recommending it.

Mini rant but yeah, wish Western trusted us more but I get why they aren’t as forthcoming. I have not reached out to them personally, only googling and searching forums so can’t speak on their willingness beyond your post.

I had a .30 Sidewinder regular size. I also pre-ordered a .30 Compact but cancelled it and sold the one I had when I was unable to find diagrams for the one I already owned

MY rule: no diagrams, no part #'s or source to buy parts, no externally adjustable regulator and externally adjustable hammer spring with no stock removal, no gauge to see where regulator is set= NO SALE. I want dis-assembly, re-assembly and repair videos too. If you don't help me repair and maintain your overpriced junk and your solution is buy more, it's not happening.

To all airgun manufacturers: if you want to sell something, keep it a secret, and let me know how it works out.

Good points, I need to do more research before I buy again. I have spent alot of money on this hobby and would expect manufacturers to stand behind their products and provide information for all to use.

we should get diagrams and specs like oring sizes , but even other dealers who sell guns do not have diagrams , i tried a few to get a diagram before I realized it is same gun as sk19 which has diagrams , it should not be a top secret , 99% of us do our own work and with shipping prices why send and pay shipping both ways for a 1 dollar oring

here is my accurator and a piece of lead which was stuck in mine causing it tpo jam the way I bought it
