Westhunter adjustable scope rings.

Pleasantly surprised, not even the 150$ sportsmatch can put them in a hard plastic case. Really high quality threads and anodizing, comes with shims to work with 1 inch or 30mm tubes.

I haven’t tried these rings but have looked at them many times. They sure look nice and seem to be well made. I’d love to hear more after you mount and use them a little bit. Although the Eaglevisioncam rings are more expensive, that’s what I’ve been buying lately. I sure love the quality, durability and looks. I’m always willing to try something different though. If the Westhunter rings turn out to be as well made as you think, I might give them a try! They go on sale on Amazon sometimes for a ridiculously low price. Have a good one.

I posted a thread about them several months back. If you watch the vid on the Amazon page you will see that they are only adjustable for the same height due to the slots/groves they machined into them.

So don't expect to be adding to your MOA with these mounts.

They do make a non adjustable mount in colors also.

Do those have the ability to tilt or just adjust up and down??

A bit Off Topic...

I bought a west hunter scope FFP and am not pleased with the glass. Half the price of a Discovery scope and completely unusable.

Hope your rings do ya right.

Yeah rings I would let them do, a scope I'll stick to other brands. I have of the ED "high end" discoveries and love them.

They tilt forward and back but no windage adjustment if that's what you mean.

I thought that at first too, but if you take the screws right out it'll add MOA. Install the screws again and it's good.

Unless I'm missing something.

It even shows that they are meant to add MOA.

The vid shows it a bit different. The pic shows you can overcome the machined in grooves if you tilt them far enough? The grooves in the rings makes it look like you can't do that.

Yeah if you take the screws out you can slide them sideways out (along the grooves) then drop them in the top where you want them. (Adding MOA) Then put screws back and tighten.

Those grooves are stupid haha.

What about ...if the groves are not parallel to bottom face but angled? that means the rings are directional.

I have the eaglevision adjustable towers, I like them but...I hate that fabric cushion tape inside ID, they shall start making some silicon sleeves. I see those (silicon in colours) becomes a trend lately.

They should get rid of the grooves all together IMO, I mentioned them in a chat with them on AliExpress. They said they will continue to improve them, ended with a virtual handshake. I literally messaged the Westhunter store on Ali and had a response in less than 2 mins. Can't beat that.

I bought a set earlier this year from their Amazon store. I have been very happy with them. And yes, i did find that i could gain some MOA after a bit of fiddling around. i also own two other sets of their non-adjustable rings and have been very happy with those as well. They seem to have good customer service and a good attitude.

I also agree with your comments about the scopes though. I tend to stick to more established brands for that. between the glass and repeatability of elevation and wind age adjustments, I just have not had great luck with cheap scopes. Sometimes the glass is great, but the turrets suck, or vice-versa. Rarely have I found both at a low price.

The problem with airguns/guns related products coming out of PRC is that they cannot test the product....any sort of "guns" prohibited in public hands... if anybody want to have a personal touch feel free to join the PRC army.

The idea is good, the design and machining is flawless, but no Field testing...you can see in YT videos a scope designer throws a scope in the air, somewhere on some ravine...

Anything else...you can see a great number of innovations coming out to world. What idea is stolen-or not that is irrelevant...you can feel free and steel it if you know how.
