WestHunter Optics, new scope and adjustable rings on Amazon

new scopes on Amazon, WestHunter Optics, prices are reasonable and review are good for a FFP side AO scope, also the Adjustable rings seem to be well made and priced right, I ordered both 4-16x44 scope and 2 sets of adjustable rings, to see how good these are.

anyone else have this scope and rings?

I'll wait for your review. I've seen mixed reviews online.

I seen some bad reviews but most of those were from people that had no experience with scope, they didn't understand how a scope worked, but most of the positive reviews were from experienced shooters, but mostly powder burners, we will find out today when it shows up, the rings will be here Monday, but the scope comes with non-adjustable rings so I can mount it and test it. Now I need to figure out which gun I'm going to mount it on, I'm leaning toward my .25 Flashpup wood, or the Uragan .25, maybe the Texan .45, I'll figure it out ;)

Just loosely stating opinion... overall nice effort by 'them'. Can't go wrong for the money, however feels like another CCP effort in dumping anything AND everything on the market (esp US market/consumers). Low low low prices for good enough quality, whether they know/care about the business or not. Longterm effects, lots of toys floating around (and in the oceans, literally lol) for everyone; real businesses lose.

I just sent back a 4-16 SFP scope I purchased Monday. When I first took it out of the box I was really impressed. The turrets worked better than any scope I've ever owned. Couple of major issues after mounting. At max power (16x) targets were noticely smaller than my other 16x scopes. That really wasn't a deal breaker. The real issue was the scope would not focus clearly. One of those, "if it that cheap there has to be a reason" moments. I was reluctant to try another. Hopefully the ffp scopes are better quality. Or maybe I just got a bad one. Please let us know how you like it.

Save a little time/money/ frustration...get a vector veyron. Yes it cost more. Yes the reticle is really thin. I have been down the same path...it's still the best option

I sent the Veyron (FFP) back because of those ridiculously thin reticle. All was perfect... that thin reticle drove me nutzzz. What a deal breaker. Sleeping with Hawke Airmax's (AMX reticle'd) these days. Not perfect, but happy balance.

If it works for you...

it showed up and I checked it out, everything seems to be very nice, well made and study, the turrets are very smooth with positive MOA clicks, the reticle is thin at low magnification, but is very pronounced at high magnification, it focuses well at low and high magnification, I checked it at close range 15 yards out to about 600 yards and it focuses just fine, so far I like it, we'll see how it does once mounted to a gun, I'll put it on the Flashpup wood .25, test it on Sunday at the range.

I've gotten a few scopes like this. Need front objective adjustment. Sometimes I adjust ones that don't need it for a closer parallax

Went to the Range today and put the scope through the ringers, I like this scope, it works really well, the FFP reticle is awesome at higher magnification, a little thin and hard to see at lowest magnification, but that's not a big deal to me, it holds Zero perfectly from 4x to 16x, the focus is good and clear up to 14x, gets a little fuzzy at 16x, but it's not that bad, it focuses well out to infinity with a little reticle adjustment, over all the scope is well made and solid, very clear glass and functions well, I will buy another, great scope for the money.

The Rings showed up today, on time, these Rings are Nice, very stout and well made, someone actually put some thought into making these, I like them, no more "Do I need High Rings, Medium or Low Rings" one Set of Rings fits the bill, they only come in Picatinny rail type, but that's a no brainer, I've got lots of Picatinny to dovetail adapters.

I will buy these from now on....

So far so good, the scope has been working great and holding zero, even after a rough ride in the back of my truck and the bumpy dirt road, if it's gonna break, I would think the dirt road will do it, it just about breaks me every time I drive down it...... ;)

Keep us posted on the scope. I have purchased these rings (in picatinny mount) and I agree that they are well worth the money!

...

Those look like MIL clicks, not MOA. Since it is a FFP scope with a MIL reticle, MOA clicks (turrets) would be very unusual.

You are correct, my bad, so use to MOA scopes I forget there are MIL scopes...
