WFTC Arizona

Well the first day is over and I want to send out a big round of applause to Garrett and his crew for an absolutely stunning course. I did not shoot as well as I had hoped but that wasn't because of the course.

I have never shot wftf Style field Target before so going in I wasn't expecting much but I did as good as I had expected. It did get warm this afternoon but what do you expect from Phoenix?

There did not seem to be any major hiccups along the course, all the targets fell if you hit them in the right spot. They were also a good variety of shots from Cross Canyon shots to 45° angle shots up on the rocks. Overall I think they did a tremendous job and now I just have to get my crap together!

Course was well managed and zero cold lines. There was hardly a time when a range Marshall wasn’t right there watching you shoot. A lot of fun but I have never been so tired after a match. Like a lot of USA shooters I wanted to come for the experience of shooting worlds so put a rifle together and made it. I have watched FT you tube videos for years. All these people I have seen in videos from across the world are here. Kind of cool.

Garrett and crew did a fantastic job setting up and managing the event!! The targets were perfect and preformed super well. An excellent job all around!!

The wind was really hard for me to read the first two days, but day three on the blue course I did better with a more consistent wind to read. Excellent shooting by some including our very own west coast piston shooters, Cameron and Son Lu. Lauren Parsons recovered amazingly from day one to only miss one shot on day two!

I had a great time.... it was a once in a lifetime event for me. I don't like to fly, so I only attend events I can realistically drive to.

Thanks again for all the hard work put in by all who made it happen!!!
