What a winter it will be! The target range just got a major upgrade

We had a BLAST today. Paintballs from the bench rest for hours with six different guns, and rinse downs with cans full of water and the .30 HP SS MAX
Also built a game where the paintball is moving down a track so you have to hit it on the move, but it needs some major fine tuning still..

I use "cheez" balls snacks, junk food in a big plastic jug, the remains after a shoot out seem to disappear over night. I am on the edge of city limits, opossum skunks raccoons, even had a couple of ground hogs but they went away

Yeah, I considered hard candy too.... Unfortunately, being my back yard, and florida, with my fruit trees and neighborhood full of critters, I don't need to add any extra attraction to them - and in that location, it'd probably just fuel a massive ant buildup, and my eye sight isn't good enough to consider those critters targets at 20 yards anymore...

Well yeah they would get cleaned up but at my place it would be bears doing the mop up. Pesting bears ain’t easy so we lay off the edible targets.

I have a unopened bag of paint balls but have been afraid to use them. I'm afraid of the mess of the paint and capsule being all of the place. Dose everything just melt away when it rains?

If you ever have trouble with the paintballs falling off of the tees in place, hot glue the balls(paint balls) onto the tees prior to setting them in place.

My plan for a king size pellet trap have been on the back burner, but my M8 just came up with a great idea for going forward on that.
There are still a halt though as 1 major part we need to get for free, but that should not be a major problem.
We really want to trap all of our lead

Mind you my friends idea, well the pellet trap will not be mobile, or very little mobile factoring in we are 2 age and health plagued men.

PS: For shorter distances i found the little airsoft pellets good targets too, but you probably do not want to stretch those further out than 50 M / yards

Another good idea for reactive targets is honey or raw hamburger. Flies and wasps are heckin' hard targets to hit. The closer the better.
