A plastic (delrin) rod from Amazon works wonders and won't break.Follow-up to JaceSpace's Post #3 list. Pushrod for clearing pellet jams should be soft material, such as a wooden dowel, to assure no damage to barrel crown. Also, plumber's silicone grease and treadmill exercise machine heavyweight silicone oil work well with "O" rings. Finally, Ballistol compliments PatchWorm cleaning kit. WM
They can. If you shoot powder burners or have many rifles a coated cleaning rod or carbon fiber cleaning rod is handy. The delrin wouldn't break in your gun, it would break and then leave you high and dry potentially when you needed it. Especially when you drop it in the cold, loading up your mini lathe....not that I have baggage about that or anything.A plastic (delrin) rod from Amazon works wonders and won't break.
