What can I expect at the Pyramyd Cup?

Who has been to this shoot in Ohio?

Looking into possibly getting out to this shoot and was wondering what everyone here thought of it.

Planning and seeing what it would be like, and also trying to figure out what guns I would need to bring.

I do have a gun I have been playing with for the FT side of things, but I am NOWHERE near good enough to get anything accomplished! Then the bench and the shoot would just about need two different guns! lol

So what have you guys ran at this match?

I have been to 4 or 5 Pyramyd Air Cups. 1st class operation and a HUGE amount of fun. Don't worry about your level of expertise. Just come and shoot and gain experience.... and have fun. The new venue, Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio, is an awesome sporting range. They host lots of shooting competition. Bring what you have and come ready to learn.

Hope to see you and others on this forum there. It is my first one. When I signed up several months ago, FT was already full. I got into Gunslynger. Sure was pricey for a tournament I will get smoked in the first round. Looking foward to seeing eveybody's gear, talking to Vendors and learning a lot. I will be the guy with the FW 124D with a Hawke 4x12x50 poorly representing the Classics. My wife just knows I will come home with a new airgun; the temptation there will be too much.

I had a very good time the yr. I went (the first year with the 100yd and fast shooting events) it was at the Cardinal shooting center a positively huge facility.
Unfortunately I did not shoot well enough to qualify for the 100yd. Br. Final. You will see alot of big named competitive shooters.
I have two 100yd. Br. Tickets I purchased when first available but now won’t be able to attend so they are available! P.S.- THE BENCHES SUCK!

What sucks about the benches? Can you elaborate? Are they wobbly? Can you bring your own adjustable seat or are the seats built into the bench?

We took a drive there today to take a look at the venue and now I see what you mean @nomojo65 about the wobbly benches. On previous events were there two people shooting from the same bench? It looks like there is space to accommodate 100 shooters if they pair up on the 50 ”park benches”.

Do they have food at the event?

What are the approximate hours of the BR event?

It's one shooter per bench, and you can move the bench to your liking.

The BR heats will be 50 shooters per heat.

There will be food trucks on site during the event. More details will be emailed to competitors in the next week or so.

Full schedule of the event can be found here: https://www.pyramydaircup.com/event-overview/

Didn't realize it would fill up so darn fast! Though I also noticed it later than most as well. It gives me something to shoot for next year though. I had a blast out at NAC, and have been to RMAC and that was just about to large. I like the smaller type events.
check for a room NOW or you might be miles away .
