What diameter barrels for Airforce Talon and Escape in .25 caliber?

The 2 factory AF barrel do .. but they doit better with the talon p valve installed .. up to 35gr only because the lead in is short in the older barrels , it could go heavier but with boattail slugs .. the newer barrels have deep lead in . So they will allow you to use longer slugs.. but I don't know how does do with the choke .

I really like the 4 TalonP's I have. I don't have any .25 slugs but in 177 and 22 some slugs seem to shoot very well. Originally tried 10 to 15gn slugs in the 177 with the 12" barrel and had less than glorious results. Switched to an 18" barrel and 16 and 20gn H&N shoot fantastic at 900+ fps. The .22 shoots .218 H&N very well, I have their sample pack of slugs and all shoot really good. The .22 is still under development but is going to be a 18 gn pellet shooter.

The Condor and talon p have the big valves. Maybe the escape also but not sure. Big valve and a ring loc kit are the way to go.

The hole in the spring retainer in the .25 talon p is way bigger than the one in the standard condor. 25 SS since it has to do a lot of power with only 12" .. this difence between the 2 valves is what make the newer valves more tunable.. in the old days AF use to SUCK because the valves came way open With almost no difence on the valves inside between platforms.. but now it looks that they send the valves according with the platform the will be shoot..
